The only thing that Murray has in common with Eric Dickerson is the number 29.
Eric ran like a horse, he galloped, he was fluid, smooth, like silk. Murray is stiff, he has great vision, cutting ability, power, and he finishes off his runs when he needs to, and he has some speed, all that is great and the more I get use to watching him fun the more I am getting comfortable with him, I need to see him continue to produce before I am completely sold on him.
Murray does make me say, several times during games " That boy is running that ball", so he is winning me over with every game, just like Romo did, I was not sold on Romo in the begining, but he kept producing and now I am Romo's biggest supporter and critic, "That's My QB".
Murray runs as if he had a very bad knee injury, in which he never got back the full flexibility in his knee, if so I want him to get that knee scoped during the offseason and really work to get flexible, so that all his speed can come out so when he does break loose he can go ahead and outrun the defense. That if he had a knee injury, the way he runs makes me think he did.
But I was listening to a radio guy on our local sport show, he says he is not sold on Murray even after all that Murray has done at OU. Anyway he said that in high school Murray had that stiff running style and he did not like it then.
So maybe that is just how Murray runs, as long as he keeps running over, around and thru people, I'll be sold before long
