83 targets, 42 receptions, 478 yards and 4 TDs in 9 games.

Impressive stats from the guy who has the #1 spot in base salary this year for wideouts. He's a real force.

Careful. the Dez Fan Bois will stone you to death and leave your corpse to the crows. It is amazing how some people refuse to believe how truly bad he really is.

Put him with the Pats and he'ld be all pro. Dak is invapable of making the accurate throws in the right spot for Dez to succeed

See what you did here. Aaaaargh. I expect more from my 15-17 million dolla receiver, but it is what it is.

He's not what he used to be, but he is the best we have right now. I'll worry about him in the off season, right now, im rooting for him. Like i am for the rest of the team. Criticizing players isnt going to do anything except drive me to drinking.........more! Lol

Agree with the Pats comment but disagree with the Dak comment. The problem is our playcalling doesn't put this in positions to succeed. Pats are good because Belichek knows how to get guys in position to succeed. He attacks teams weakness and knows how to cover up his own weakness. Look at the Rams, they have a creative playcaller that gets people in position to succeed.

That being said Dez has been running some great routes this season. We get plays that work then we never see them again. We must get more creative on offense...... Will defense too

No other receiver on the team approaches Dez's terrible catch %. Literally everybody on the team but Dez can catch Dak's passes just fine.

Code:
Player Tgt Rec Yds Y/R TD Ctch%
Dez Bryant 83 42 478 11.4 4 50.6%
Jason Witten 55 42 378 9.0 3 76.4%
Terrance Williams 44 31 366 11.8 0 70.5%
Brice Butler 16 10 243 24.3 2 62.5%
Ezekiel Elliott 26 19 210 11.1 2 73.1%
Cole Beasley 40 24 188 7.8 4 60.0%
Rod Smith 9 6 38 6.3 0 66.7%

I am curious how many of those 83 targets are the balls Dak throws 5 yards out of bounds? Would like to see the breakdown of the targets and how catchable the balls are because the throws dak makes down the sidelines to dez are borderline terrible.

Actually that is a false narrative. A fallacy. The Hoodie gets no name receivers who get open on every play (like Beasley). The Hoodie wouldn't trade for a receiver who can almost never get open and only cathes 5-0 percent of the balls thrown to him. I doubt Dez throwing up the "X" four times per year would get The Hoodie's juices flowing.

Some of them undoubtably are bad throws. But Dak doesn't seen to have a hard time throwing to the other guys on the team. Its funny how that works. It must be some sort of conspiracy to tank the season and lose games just to make Dez look bad. Whatever, it is, it is working. Dez isn't doing much of anything. Dez should be a great influence on Taco to motivate him to improve his craft.

These bash Dez threads are getting old. Is Dez the reason the Cowboys got smashed yesterday? No? So what's the point of this thread?

He contributed to the loss by not contributing worth a plug nickel.

What routes are each receiver running? How is each receiver used? Are they open because Dez cleared out a defender?

It's well known that Dez is used as a decoy quite often and the routes he's called on to run aren't high percentage routes.

Perspective is something that is seldom used especially on this site.

It's funny how the two dump off targets are so high while every receiver is struggling. I mean 60% is nothing to be proud of in today's NFL. Maybe the playcaller and QB need to step up?

Witten and Beasley draw more double coverage than Dez.

@ :35 this is all Dez.

Dez used to this 3 or 4 times a season

All Dez. Even Romo fans can admit that on this one, right?!

Also helps when nobody picks him up

Another:

Inferior foe? I go by the motto(in sports) it's not what you do it's who you do it against

Abusing Fletcher, is he still around? Does Dez still get this separation?

Would Dak miss this throw?
