Really tired of these people still defending Romo. Yes, this defense is so bad that we would have lost tonight even if Romo played the way he did against the Broncos. But we've also lost games this season where the defense wasn't THAT bad and we would have won if Romo played well.
You're fooling yourself if you actually believe this nonsense.

If Romo was an elite QB, we could have won the Chiefs game and Chargers game and maybe the Broncos game (the INT). I can't defend Romo anymore. I don't know if he's any good. I might take 15-20 QBs over him right now.

Chiefs game
-----------------
Romo played with bruised ribs and still put up the most points this year against that defense. They're allowing 12 points per game, yet Romo at 70% still put up the most points (17) allowed on them all year. He played injured, yet still had us in position to win late in the game. If Romo is healthy then we win that game, easily. Though Romo was injured, he was still productive throwing for 300 yards and a td.

Chargers game
---------------------
Romo had a good game and drove us down to score with like 4 minutes (?) left in the game, but our stupid rookie WR fumbles on the 1 yard line ruining our chances at winning that game. Romo was productive with 2 tds, and 250 yards.

Broncos games
---------------------
Romo had one of the best game's a qb has ever had, yet you're saying if he was elite we would've won. Hysterical. Wanna know why we lost? Our defense didn't even force a single punt, atrocious. Even if we had Peyton, Rodgers, Brady, or Brees we still lose that game. Romo had 500 yards, 5 tds, with a 14 ypa to boot. He even out played one of the greatest QBs of all time, just his defense decided they were going to take a vacation day on Sunday. How you even remotely try to put this game on Romo is beyond my comprehension, Geez are you clueless.

Boy are you smoking some serious stuff. Thanks for the chuckle though, it definitely was needed especially after this blow out.

That's why I said maybe the Broncos. He threw a game-losing INT but I can't blame him because he had an unbelievable game. But Romo has been bad all season besides the Broncos game. I've said it in many threads. The Broncos game got him national love and now he's getting unearned respect. People are overrating Romo. The team is awful but Romo isn't much to brag about. He's not an awful QB but he's nowhere near elite and not even top 10. He's the biggest tease in NFL history. To quote Stephen A Smith, he's an accident waiting to happen.

You can't even name 5 QBs who are playing better then him THIS year, so please stop with this non sense. Over all this year he has played great, just he has to overcome horrible coaching, horribly inconsistent pass protection, a historically bad defense, lack of a running game, immature team mates, and horrible play calling to boot. Like I said, you can't even name 5 QBs who are playing better right now, yet alone 10, but whatever.

You're enamored by stats. Aside from the Broncos game, he's been incredibly inconsistent, inaccurate, playing scared, not getting zip on passes, bad body language and leadership, making questionable audibles, making short passes on 3rd and long, not targeting Dez. I can go on. Have you been watching the games? He hasn't been playing that well this season.

Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Mathew Stafford, Russell Wilson, Jay Cutler, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady... I'd say all those guys are playing better and that's not by looking at stats but at how they play. They haven't lost as much arm strength or down field accuracy as Romo.

Well, stats do typically give an indication of how well someone has performed, but what do I know.

I honestly don't understand where people make up this crap, bad leadership? Where's your proof? Because I got proof that shows he has GREAT leadership qualities, though I'm sure you'll just turn a blind eye like all the other Romo bashers. Making questionable audibles? Geez, I didn't know you knew our plays, man if a fan knows our plays then we're definitely screwed!

Making short passes on 3rd and long? Wanna show me the play you're specifically talking about? He can't throw long if they're not open or if there's rushers in his face. Bad body language? Making up stuff just like the "bad leadership" thing aye, must be your cliche. Not targeting Dez? Dez doesn't beat coverage consistently, and to boot he gets his separation at a snails pace. For Dez to get open Romo needs time to throw down field, how can he do that with a defender in his face? It's also not Romo's fault Dez doesn't move around to the slot more. Also, don't act like Romo ignores Dez, because before this game Dez was like top 10 in targets in the entire NFL.

Asking me if I've been watching the games, oh the irony. :D
