Saturday Night Preseason Thread

ODB gettin told how great he is all offseason.. I hope he believed the hype and didn't put the work in.
 
Yup MIrvin, Murray's 3.4 ypc is the reason Eagles are so good right now. SInce you said on Eagles radio awhile back he is the reason they are so good over us.

I agree. He's hoping it ruffles their feathers some. All though it's only game two of the preseason. Lol
 
The Eagles O is hard to stop if you don't game plan for it. If you dont control time of possession or play physical with them, then they are hard to beat.

However, Dallas(and the rigors of a 16 game season) are perfectly designed to annihilate them. Which is pretty cool.
 
Already have Eagles fan friends texting me telling me how good they are going to be...lol Let's see how they play next week.
 
I thought there was a sort of gentleman's agreement that teams would play vanilla offenses and defenses in the preseason because they were all evaluating talent. That doesn't seem to be true anymore, at least for a couple of teams, with Rex Ryan calling for blitz after blitz and Chip Kelly running no-huddle.
 
The only way we lose to the Giants first game is if we can't hang on to the ball.

I don't like too much blitzing but teams should look enough to see who can do it.

I don't mind at all his running the no-huddle. Gives other teams film and it does give him the necessary looks at who can play his offense. I just don't like it.

Their offense was pretty good last year.

Chip Kelly running no huddle is pretty much their vanilla offense.
 
Gimmicky teams are tough without gameplanning.

And good teams rarely look good in preseason.

I don't know. Part of me thinks Irvin is getting a little satisfaction from this. I am surprised he is putting so much weight on a second preseason game. I wonder what would be his thoughts if the Eagles were getting blown out in a second preseason game. Let me guess, "it's only preseason".

The Eagles are great against air. Just Bob Griffin was all world when Shanahan designed a system for him. Check back with me after Thanksgiving.
