Freakish change of direction and quickness for a player that size.

Anybody remember rookie Dez on Punt Returns...

Cordarrelle Patterson...not certain why he never became a great WR but has been an impressive RB / offensive-weapon.
I keep hearing the Patterson comp but I honestly think this dude is a better athlete.

CP was an elite return man and really good as a RB but I think Savion is a better WR prospect bc of his athleticism.

We’ll see. Patterson’s metrics were not bad at all:

I didn’t watch much/any of TCU this year…what’s up with his 10 yards per catch average? Did he not get used as a downfield WR at all? Just seems like a very low # for such a big athletic guy

I watched him today and came away very impressed, those Dez/Patterson comps look legitimate. I notice he isn't a top 50 prospect on Dane's board, where many view him as a late 3, early 4th rounder. In my opinion, worth that draft slotting in a heartbeat. I'm officially on board!!

I suspect based on his highlight cutups he was used a lot on screens.

Yea 3rd probably makes sense but I wouldn’t be surprised if a team takes a flyer on those traits in the 2nd.

He had a really hard time with the mental side of the game early in his career. Dont know if he just grew or if HB was easier for him. In NE they only lined him up near their sideline so the coaches could talk to him

Yea…really fun player but I highly doubt we’ll have an OC good enough to maximize his talents in year 1 while he develops as a route runner.
mccarthy utilized Ty Montgomery fairly well for a season or two.

Cordarrelle Patterson was a 1st round pick.

Savion is projected as a mid-second or later.

I assume there's a reason for thart difference.

Savion is local (TCU). The Cowboys should have plenty of opportunities to get to know him.
