I canot believe his name is really Spaulding , I'd seen it a couple times on here, thought folks were just calling him that. Luckily his generation has probably never heard of Caddyshack.ha

'I hear this place is restricted, Wang...so don't tell them you're Jewish'

By helicopter!?!? Awesome stuff, thanks. Good for him, I've heard his grandson can play a bit. I'll always admire the incredibly successful self-made billionaire that is Jerry Jones.

I'm convinced that most of the venom towards him comes from pure jealousy. He's a great owner and only the "GM" as a title only. But boy, what an incredible life he's lived and continues to live.

Next stop: the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I'm not jealous of Jerry one bit but I think flying in by helicopter to a HS football game in your local city is way over the top. He's an ego maniac and needs to be seen by the masses. And you keep telling yourself he's the GM by title only.

Man, if I had a helicopter, I'd take it everywhere I could. Sure, people without helicopters would hate it, but that's at least half the reason you buy it in the first place.

Why would people be jealous of him? Being a billionaire is out of most people's comprehension.

People - particularly fans - don't like him because as General Manager he has two playoff wins in 20 years. Nothing to be jealous about with that typerson record. :(

Yeah. OK. It's a reflection of the man's ego to take a helicopter to a local football game so people can gawk. The greater issue for me is that his ego extends to the crap he does with the team. Other than that, if the tail rotor stopped spinning I really wouldn't shed a tear.

"Just ask Spaulding, he and I are regular pals."

"Are you my pal? Mr. Scholarship winner?"

They let him land that thing at a school? Man, their liability insurance must be expensive....

Haha, arriving in a helicopter at a high school football game.

He is the male equivalent of a Kardashian. Next, duck face half nude selfies on his social media.

Although, I guess there's probably some legitimate business interests attending their kids football game in Highland Park so I'll give him a little credit.

If you're not from the area, I should point out that it's Highland Park. Jerry is probably not even the richest Dad at the game.

Highland Park is a separate city from Dallas but is right in the middle of Dallas and surrounded by Dallas on all sides. The wealth there is incredible.

There is currently a 1.2 acre lot (no house) in HP listed at 12.5 million.

I work as an Athletic Trainer for the school that played Highland Park last night, which is where JJ's grandson, Spaulding, plays. They played at our stadium. Jerry comes flying in by helicopter. Needless to say, the crowd was totally captivated. Just not something you see every day, at least not in my world, but kinda neat nonetheless.

BTW, Spaulding is a pretty good QB. Nothing to go shouting in the woods about, but he can definitely play the position.
For gods sake..who names a child Spaulding!! What knd of a handicapped name is that.

Sorry, i don't care how rich you are, but taking your helicopter to a freaking high school football game is beyond tacky. Classic narccisist Jerry though. He evens makes a HS game about him.

I have a lot of close friends in HP and my son, before going to a private school went to pre-K there (same place that Drew Brees went for some useless trivia). It's a bit weird how people are playing it up about the QB. I feel bad for the kid. HP is full full of kids from "famous" families. And he's not a Matt Stafford (who also went there) but he's not terrible either.
I will say this; he is not starting because of who his granddad is. But I doubt he's D1 caliber.

Lots of envy in some peoples posts here....or maybe just not completely thinking things through. Maybe JJ was at the stadium or something and only had a little bit of time to get to the game. A driving trip from the stadium to Forney can take up to 2 hours sometimes in really heavy traffic or construction. Why on earth wouldnt you take a 20 min helicopter instead if you OWN one. I dont undertand the hate on this one....

But ya....the only reason JJ took the helicopter is because he wanted it to all be about him....not that he might have been a several hour driving trip away or for some other reason...

Yeah, Jerry totally breaks down film of college kids with the scouts and makes educated adjustments of our draft board based on those film sessions.
