1) we don't win the division
2)we don't get a wild card berth
3)now that we have been exposed, there will be Dallas blow out games
4)put drop the mike back on the caboose to nowhere

We play the 8-1 Vikings who just beat the Buffalo Bills next week.

We're on the road.

6-4 right in our eyes.

I really am a fan. Just a realist.

What other coaches would agree to deal with Jerry? Meyer was an absolute disgrace and a maniac. Lincoln Riley doesn't know what a defence is. So he'd have been not very good imo. Sean Payton is under contract and logically won't agree to coach here. So, Mike was probably our only actual choice along with Garrett, and Garrett had lost the locker room.
Jeff Saturday would have been a better choice.

McCarthy is a blockhead and should never have been the coach, LVE should never have be resigned, and Dak should have been sent packing. Yes the team would have been exponentially better.

You forgot to fire the GM...

No not Sean Payton please . Check out the Vikings at 8-1 . The Rams in 2 recent SB. The 49ers been to a recent SB . The Bengals . The Bills success heck the Giants and an Eagles team riding high .

If the MM era is a cooked turkey which I’m not convinced of can Jones think outside the box get a young first time HC with assistant coach resume . No more “ ex “ legends with glory from a decade or longer ago. I will say this about today your coming from a bye week and the effort overall was less then stellar .

There are so many young coaches that teams have been able to find like the Vikings, Bengals, Brows (not this year), Dolphins....

I hate the old retreads like MM and SP, they fire won't be burning as much to work that hard and be successful, but I also believe that the young coaches won't be able to stand up to Jerry, if Jerry gives control of coaching staff and insane amount of money to SP like 20 million per year, then he cannot fire him and SP doesn't have to be a yes man to Jerry and focus on picking his own staff and play his own players

Kevin Stefanski your right another great example . Also the guy on the opposite sideline yesterday LaFleur. Retreads be gone . Heck Dan Campbell and the Lions were a goal line fumble from taking the lead 4th quarter . I’m down on the effort I saw yesterday. Two weeks to prepare for a banged up Packer team Dallas should have blown out .

sure but we’ve had enough coaches here without experience…..oh what the hell, one more can’t hurt.

maybe they can hire Michael Sam as coach and at least get some ESG credits

I'm actually wondering if a CFL coach could work. Trestman wasn't great for Chicago, but then, it's Chicago. I think Coach Mike O'Shea (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_O'Shea_(Canadian_football)) could be an interesting choice. He's won 6 Grey Cups (Canadian Super Bowl) both as a player and a coach. As a coach, he began coaching Winnipeg in 2014 and won the Grey Cup in 2019 and 2021 (there was no CFL Season in 2020). They are also going to be playing in the Grey Cup again. So, if they win, that'd be their third in a row. When he played, he was a linebacker.

What difference does it make? His replacement will be a weak, yes man, who wont be able to change the culture. That is the only type Jerry hires.
Except when he wants to build a stadium. He hired Parcells for that. And we haven't been able to stop our opponents rushing attack, on a consistent basis, since Parcells left.
