Say no to Former Defensive Coordinators as HC

The Modern NFL is set up for Offensive coaches scoring and handy capping the defense. case in point all the coaches who where fired this year were defensive cordinators previously.

The NFL is set up for Offensive coaches to succeed. If you ask me we need a HC that has Offensive background OR a FORMER ASSISTANT HC that has done both sides of the ball.

Salah is interviewing, i like him as a Defensive Cordinator and i'd like to see what his take is on offense and how he's going to tackle handling Dak. I still think Moore or Prime are your 2 front runners and they can build there staff as see fit. BOTH have history with Zimmer and this organization, so he could slide right back in as DCORD.
Kansas City Chiefs, they relied on their defense this season, they wouldn’t even be in the playoffs if it wasn’t for their defense. I think they average like 21 points a game that’s not good.

Hiring a DC is fine if he hires a strong OC. This league is about outscoring your opponents. Overlooking or taking that lightly will lead to a bunch of L's.
I still think it’s a fourth-quarter game, the team with the ball last. I think it’s a situation football league. And we’re not very good at it.

Yeah and finding a good OC is tough. THe good Oc's are either staying with their team or about to become head coaches.
It’s really tough. The proven good ones are locked up or wanting a HC job. You really have to look one step down. Someone working with a creative OC they’ve learned from or even maybe college ranks though I prefer nfl experience. A student of the game. Someone who has a few years experience with one of the better OC to learn from

Yeah exactly. But even then when you find that guy he's probably a 2 or 3 year rental at best. If he's good...or I guess if he's bad too. A good team will scoop him up or he will be released if he's bad. Weird situation in the NFL....
