I remember it very well...LOL...

I was like...we beat SF, they were the best at the time...we won, so we should do well...however, bills in for 3rd year, and we were a young team....
After Cowboys got their first TD, I was relieved. As that was just what they needed to get the confidence rolling.

I'm so disappointed with this year... I can't revisit the glory years right now...... I'll watch receivers drop paxton lynch passes instead.

This team was absurdly deep, no free agency, but still:

Jimmie Jones and Lett were backup DT

How about the 3 safeties: Washington, Everett, Woodson

Jeffcoat at defensive end on pass rush downs.

Jimmy Smith, dressed for the SB and while a rookie, was essentially 4th wr.

Linebackers could all play: Norton, 1st td pick Robert Jones, Vinson Smith, Edwards and Myles.

Should have been 59-10... Leon Lett fumble and the TD for the Bills, the QB went over the line on the throw.

^This. All day. I've been saying this for 23 years. Reich was a good yard beyond the line on that "TD" pass. And, of course, Leon Lett's all-time gaffe. I always favored Chad Hennings over Lett. Far, far stronger than Lett and a very heady and disciplined player. Lett was awfully quick for his size though, I'll give him that. Lett cost the Cowboys the SB point record, which the 89 9ers own.

Oh the 90's....gotta love the good ole' days.

You know those 90s Superbowls are pretty far in the rear view mirror when the video of the game looks <old> at this point.

The formations look old. The uniforms look old. The quality of the video is not great.

Its really not that different that what it was like back in the 90s to look back on let's say the first two or three Superbowls and look how far the game has come.

That's where the Cowboys currently stand -- we are looking back into the Clinton era NFL with fondness.

I was at that game I was so nervous my butterflies had butterflies almost puked before the opening kickoff. That was only the 4th game I saw the Cowboys play in person haven't seen them play in person since.

Every time I watched Super Bowl 27, I think:

1. Jimmy Johnson should be in the Hall of Fame. I don't care his overall record. He was a GREAT coach (always had his teams prepared) and created a powerhouse quicker than anyone thought. He suckered a league that thought he and Jones were way over their heads. I remember with shock experts thinking the Cowboys got the worst of the deal with the Vikings in the Herschel Walker trade. :lmao:

2. Gosh, that team was dominant. I'm glad I got a chance to witness a team that you expected to win before the ball was snapped.
