SB XLI: Bears Vs Colts ***Game Thread***

Now who was this so called football "expert" that claimed that Grossman was equal to Aikman?

I wonder how close we are to be able to compete in/win a Superbowl. I guess it depends on who we hire as coach.

terrible game...terrible teams...ugly, ugly football game and everything that went with it

Might I remind everyone that we were the first team to beat this year's Super Bowl Champions?

Which only further reminds me that our talent wasn't the problem with the team.

we have the offense to go there, that D needs some fixin'

Any takers on who gets the MVP after the game? My vote goes to Manning for the simple reason that he finally pulled a Steve Young and 'got this monkey off his back'.

Any other game, I would agree - play with the elements. Home field advantage.

But, with the SB, weather should not be a factor in which team wins. Advantage - no one. I prefer that. Let the best team win.

.

You have to consider that in 41 years of the SB, and about 30 have been played outside and this is the first with bad weather.

I'd hate to see all the Super Bowls played indoors. There have been some great games and atmospheres in outdoor sites. I especially like some of the ones played in Pasendena when is starts during daylight and gets dark by halftime.

Somebody compared Grossman to Aikman? I hope the comparison went something like this "In his wildest dream Grossman isn't half the QB that Aikman's jock strap is."

It was not a 'super' bowl.

I disagree. After Manning stopped trying to show his Greatness and become The MVP, I feel the Colts have played pretty solid football.

Now the bears.....that was terrible.
