they gave the MVP to Manning? for what? not sucking as much as Grossman?

Colts OL and RB's deserve the MVP way more than Manning did

A new car...that's exactly what Peyton needed.

he should sell that car and donate the money to the families that lost everything in those tornadoes.

Completely agree with this.

One of the aggravating things about the NFL & Hostile - the worship of QBs. Manning was going to win the MVP unless the colts lost and it was his fault, or a RB rushed for a thousand yards.

Their RG was completely dominant - I'm all for an offensive lineman, or the unit as a whole, winning the MVP. It's such a friggin joke that the QB and skill players are automatic locks just because of their stats.

Well, if you replace the Colts LT in this game, they'd probably still win. If Harrison has to sit the 2nd half they probably still win. If one of the Colts LBs misses the game, the Colts definitely would still win.

Take Peyton away? Who knows what would happen. That makes him the most valuable player.

the Colts backup QB could have played the whole game, and they probably would have still won

Manning had nothing to do with that win...other than the decent play he made to escape the sack and throw the td to Wayne, the guy was mediocre at best

and what was that effort to recover the football on the one fumble? (oh wait, there was none...he didnt want to dirty himself up)...he just stood there looking at it, thinking it might miraculously bounce to another teammate

I think Addai was deserving of the MVP.

But, when they lose, it's always "Manning can't win", so in a way I find it fitting that he get the credit when they win.

He wasn't mediocre. He started out mediocre, and then moved to adequate, where he played solidly. But like you said, he really just got into the habit of checking down to Addai, who made plays. Addai, Rhodes & the OL were the best players.

The Bears still need a QB.

...Romo we could parlay into a draft pick for Chicago. With their draft position they are unlikely to find someone who could lead them right away and a trade for a vet or an UFA would seem the most likely solution.

Please don't make the case that they would have certainly won without Manning at QB. I'm begging you. Don't make me laugh.

Aside from his first 5 passes, Peyton was awesome.

do whatever you want...Manning really didnt have much to do with the win...he made a couple of good plays the entire game

they won because the Bears were completely inept on offense, have a horrible QB and because their OL opening gaping holes all day for their backs

I've said before--I really like Dungy and I'm glad to see him get a ring. I've never been a believer in this whole "he's a bad big-game coach, he'll never get a ring, he's soft, blah blah blah" stuff.

Ditto for Manning. I'm more fond of Dungy than of Manning, but I've also believed the Manning rap is overdone.

Now we can ignore all that stuff and really appreciate them for what they are--a great coach and a great QB, and after securing their rings, probably guaranteed Hall of Famers.

Which play did he make where he was great? He had some nice throws, but he didn't do anything half the starters in the league couldn't do. There were better players on the Colts.

Heck, Bob Sanders was more deserving.

Colts O-line should get the MVP. Hopefully Manning buys em all a new Caddy of something with all his new MVP commercials.
