Cowboy fan predicts Cowboy championship on a Cowboy forum. Way to go out on a limb.

Frankly, I think we have the most talented roster in the league, so predicting a Cowboy Super Bowl win isn't a homer post. We're good and have just as good of a chance to win it all as any other team. It's hard to repeat so that's a knock against the Saints. I don't think Favre will stay healthy for 16 games this year. Hell, he isn't healthy right now and it's the off season. Eagles? They'll drop quite a bit. Giants? Not sure, but their D sucked last year. Arizona? Lost a LOT of talent and will drop this season. I think the Packers might be our biggest challenge in the NFC this year.

Well its been over a month (nearly a month and a half) since the draft, and I made a thread similar to this before the draft and said i'd make one following. So here goes;

Following the draft and all major off-season moves, who are your super bowl picks/favorites.

I'll give 3 teams from each conference and then say my matchup favorite.

AFC:
Ravens
Jets
Colts

NFC:
Cowboys
Packers
Vikings

AFC Championship:
Ravens v. Jets
Ravens win

NFC Championship:
Cowboys v. Pack
Cowboys win.

SB45:
Cowboys vs Ravens.
Cowboys win by 3.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the Jets are highly overrated?

This team was 7-7 last year and minus a half and a no show effort by the Colts and the Bengals, the Jets miss the playoffs. They squeaked in at 9-7. They upgraded their team by trading for a a CB who had one very good season, signing a RB who was once great but averaged under 4 yards per carry last year ... etc.

I think they'll be good, but they're a Wild Card team at best. I think Henne breaks out this year with Marshall and the Dolphins win that division.

I was thinking fins aswell, but the jets oline is sooooo good

Philadelphia has been consistently a very good team (8 teams good enough to make a deep run since Reid/McNabb took over) and has only had one losing season. One of those seasons even came with Garcia at the helm instead of McNabb.

I don't really buy the "Kolb is an unknown quantity, so the Eagles are in trouble." line. How many teams have voluntarily let a McNabb or better level QB walk without an off field reason, like Cutler's feud with McDaniels?

Green Bay let Favre go...and Rodgers worked out great.
San Diego's not exactly broken up about having Philip Rivers at QB inatead of Drew Brees.
Montana/Young, maybe?

Because of that, I can say with a high degree of confidence that Philly will be a contender. The only other NFC teams I am confident will have winning records, if healthy, are Dallas (5 consecutive winning years) and Green Bay (Young, and possibly most talented team, but we'll see).

The reason I'm taking Philly over Dallas or Green Bay, OTOH, is pure sports superstition. The guys I pick never win (the last Super Bowl champ I picked right in pre-season was QB'd by a guy named Elway) so when in doubt I take the team I dislike the most.

Finally, R2A is right about Sanchez. IMO, he's the worst QB prospect to go in the first round since Akili Smith, and his play last year did nothing to improve my opinion of him. Go find a list of QB prospects from the last 15 years and look how well college starts correlate with pro success, then look at how few Sanchez had.
