Scale from 1-10 how excited are you for the season?

10. I can’t wait to see the young guys... particularly CeeDee. I think he’s going to be very good right out of the gate.

I’m also super excited to see the new offensive and defensive schemes. I think McCarthys influence on the offense will be huge. And watching DLaw, ASmith, and EGriffen getting after the QB? OMG! The new secondary?

I’m sooooo ready...

I need the perspective of others right now. I am struggling to get excited. I should be because the new coaching staff is a big shift. Good offseason with the draft and FAs. The Dak contract is a dark cloud but he is the QB right now so there is hope they can get something done. All that said I am not getting excited. Don’t know why exactly. Am I getting older and sports just doesn’t excite me as much? Am I too distracted with my family and all that is going on? Is the woke NFL crap getting to me? Is over 2 decades of futility getting to me? Is it because I think the season is not going to happen? Is it the empty stands?

I have been a fan for 40 years. I love football. I used to be clued in every day on camp news and excitement for the season. What the hell is wrong with me? I am a 3 out of 10 now. With McCarthy and Co I should be at an 8 or 9. WTH?

How are you all feeling about this season?

Dont fret, it is normal.
No hof game no preseason limited TC stuff, the whole dak contract thing wore people out lol.
There isnt anything to get excited about yet. Enthused a little, but not excited.
Also the new HC and staff, doesnt seem real to me yet lol, it is like a dream and I keep thinking I will wake up and garrett is still HC!

But like on fri before the sunday games, and maybe the thursday night game will start to get us excited.
And with all the talk of no season, I think people need to see the first game start, for their brains to say hey its a go!
Then after the cowboy game we all should be excited, unless they lose, but I think they win game 1,4,5 but 2 and 3 could go either way.

pre season games usually get me going, and into the groove, and with no PS, I am just not in the groove.
I do like the TC reports HL's and interviews, I got a positive vibe from those, not excited yet , but will be as soon as it is game day.

2. With the coronavirus affecting everything including no new television shows in the fall plus my mother passing away and my mother-in law going to pass later this year, I am just not interested in sports this year.
Watching sports without fans in the seats is just not the same.

I always love seeing how the new additions play and what they add to the team, especially the rooks, as well as guys like Connor McGovern and Ced Wilson. I haven't been this stoked about a rookie since Dez. It's gonna be interesting to see how the D improves with a more aggressive and less predictable scheme, and fun watching LVE and JSmith bounce back. But I don't know how anyone can not be excited about seeing what difference McCarthy makes in the team, what he does with the #1 offense in the league and how he helps Dak get better. This is the first season in a decade without Jason Garrett running the show. Aren't you curious as crap to see how this goes?

I have been a curmudgeon for a long while on this franchise. I dont want to put a number on my excitement level but I will admit my interest and curiosity level are higher than they have been in years. To move on from Garrett is like moving on from constipation. A general relief. I like most of the personnel moves. Season if there is one will likely boil down how fast O Line jells along with the secondary.

Football is an afterthought for me this year. And I’m unhappy with the direction the league has sent heading recently. Without fans in the seats and with players sitting out the season, I’m about as disinterested for a season as I’ve been in years. Maybe a 4 or a 5?
