Scandrick or Jenkins?

Jenkins would of been the highest rated cb in this years draft IMO. But Scandrick plays lights out. Who would you rather see start opposite Newman? Me personally I'd like Jenkins starting with Scandrick as nickel cb.

I like Scandrick in the slot. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Myabe Mickens will be starting opposite Newman:D . Who knows!?

Yea would be nice to see Mickens at CB and Smith at FS, wouldn't it? They've already got plenty of chemistry.

Jenkins because he is a first round pick. It's the same way I feel about Carp. He SHOULD be competing for a starting job.

personally, i think scandrick has earned a starting spot with his play. but jenkins probably has a higher ceiling due to his size.

We are loaded at corner.

It's a good problem to have. Who knows?

im loving are CB's i really like scandrick but i wouldnt care if jenkins is starting. Whoever earns it let them play.

We are going to put 4-5 CBs on the field at one time in certain packages. We need them. Unless of course our safeties start to play like CBs and safeties.

Scandrick is better in the slot. But Mickens and the other Cinci corner will complete for a job. It'll be interesting to see how many 'CBs' and 'safeties' we keep.

Athletically, Jenkins has more upside and plus he was a 1st rounder. But there's something about Scandrick that tells me he might have the more productive career.

Like 'em both alot and hope they're Cowboys for a long time.

Scandrick IMO.. no question. Jenkins still needs to learn how to tackle Derrick Ward.

Yeah Deion Jr. needs to learn the basics of tackling a player.

I see many trade Newman threads in the near future.....

Wayyyyyy to early to annoint any of these guys as the second coming, including Scandrick. He had a nice rookie season, but is still unproven as a number 2 corner. I feel like he and Jenkins will be adequate corners this season, but in no way are they good enough that we can trade Newman.

If Mickens or any other rookie have to start this year, we could be in trouble. Corner isn't a place for rookies to play, imo.

I'm confident in either player. Confident enough that the thought of Newman missing a couple of games doesn't scare me. I think Jenkins will turn out to be the better player. He just has all the tools to be a great one. Not saying Scandrick doesn't, but I think Jenkins is a bit more gifted. Both will be starting CBs in this league in the very near future.

No doubt about it. I don't buy all the "rookie mistake" crap. What I saw on that play was a bonafide QUITTER.

That's one of the reasons why something tells me Scandrick's intangibles give him the edge over Jenkins' athleticism.

Scandrick plays with intensity and hes got talent.. but i just remember that one play where Jenkins came outta nowhere and deflected that pass against the eagles I believe. My jaw dropped. His body almost 7 feet high horizontal and his range on that play was insane. Scandrick broke up a lot of passes though and hes physical. I just think Scandrick needs slot with Jenkins opposite Newman.

I agree. I was really put off by that play. No way I make a business decision. I'd die first.

Agreed. But unless a lot of people are very wrong both Scandrick and Jenkins have a future in this league. Scandrick is a baller. And Jenkins has a lot of talent. I like Scandrick in the slot and most importantly Wade does. Wade seems to think pretty highly of Scandrick.

No way, dude...not a chance. Hopefully these people here realize that in the ever-increasing spread NFL, having too many DBs on the roster than can actually play is a good thing.
