I still think Wade wants a Vet FA next to Newman but if not then Jenkins with Scandrick in the slot.

Scandrick plays with intensity and hes got talent.. but i just remember that one play where Jenkins came outta nowhere and deflected that pass against the eagles I believe. My jaw dropped. His body almost 7 feet high horizontal and his range on that play was insane. Scandrick broke up a lot of passes though and hes physical. I just think Scandrick needs slot with Jenkins opposite Newman.

Yeah that game was filled with highlights so that play kinda got lost in the shuffle but he came flying like superman to bat that ball down.

It was one of my favorite plays of the year.

People also forget that Jenkins had a pick 6 against New York too.

What vet FA?

I'm not sure but there's still time for one to pop up. Personally I hope none come available and Wade is forced to go with Jenkins. I wanna get these 2nd year players developed already for the future as well as the present.

I'm on board with that.

We are loaded at corner.

It's a good problem to have. Who knows?

We are NOT loaded at CB. Newman misses games every yr over the last three seasons. Jenkins isn't proven. Scandrick is good but let see year two before you sign him to a long term contract. Remember A. Henry had 10 INT in his first yr but never replicated that. But if Scandrick is as good in Henry's prime, we be so lucky.

We need at least 3 proven CBs. 1 capable backup.

I strongly believe that's Wade's current mindset and so he will be looking for a fa vet.

THE absolutely best problem to have. This is the first season I don't envision 25 year old WR's blowing by our secondary just because of the speed and youth we have on it.

If some of those LB's we drafted can get going quick and add some much needed speed to this D also, I might enjoy watching our D on 3rd down's again.

I want Scandrick to start and whenever we got to Dime/Nickel, we move him to the slot and have Jenkins play on the outside.

As Jenkins is better equipped to handle bigger receivers, it would be a better strategical move to start him opposite of Newman with Scandrick having the ability to man up and press the slot man at the LOS.

I would not feel nearly as comfortable with Scandrick going up against bigger receivers and Jenkins having to press at the LOS.

Also, while I am excited about the Smith/Mickens duo, I really would like to see what they can do on the field first before we consider them as part of the equation. Same goes for Hamlin at SS. But if Smith does pan out, I could see him filling the "Star" position as FS that the cowboys discussed earlier in the offseason with Scandrick.

Jenkins. Although most soured on him because of the tackle he failed to make (and there was that one mysterious play where he left the guy he was covering completely alone to go cover someone else in the middle of a play), I think Jenkins is the beetter cover guy.

Scandrick makes up for it by being more aggressive and bringing more energy and seems more assured right now, but I think the sky is the limit for Jenkins. He may develop into a terrific cover corner.

But I agree with JonJon, I'm now throwing Smith and Mickens into the equation till I see them cover NFL wide receivers.

Id take Scandrick over Jenkins. I think Jenkins is got better ball skills and has perhaps more upside but I like Scandricks toughness alot more than Jenkins
