Scandrick released

I was far from being a Scandrick fan but im not laughing about this. Cowboy fans are kind of nutty.
ahh no he brought this upon himself all those parting shots in SM and interviews he became an Enemy like Dez who continue to talk smack..both most likely had outside shots to be brought back but both burned their bridges with their mouths and now Karma got them both..im laughing hard! I had no issue with either of them until they ran their mouths about our team..

Yeah. Timing is kind of interesting. Either he was waaaay worse than they thought, not even worthy of camp body status, or Washington is being classy and letting him go so he might have time to catch on with another team. I'm not sure Washington and classy belong in the same sentence though.

Or maybe he displayed more of that attitude he's been known for and his play on the field didn't warrant Washington putting up with it? Or him?

I think that's what eventually got him run out of town here. His attitude outweighed his talent and on-field contributions.

Karma? They're both millionaires I think they'll be alright. Its just funny that a good 80-90% of this board was on his cizzock, probably including you, and now he's the enemy. Hell im taking up for Scandrick and I was in the vocal minority that always thought he was a JAG.

When new players arrive in Dallas, fans are like:

When that player leaves, they're like:

Funny stuff. I never did like him. Although he did have one really good year when Brandon Carr
was here. But yes, I've called Scandrick a mouth breathing window licker on this very message board.

If you watch the All or Nothing bit, you'll see that Demarcus Lawrence agrees with me.
Watch his reaction to Scandrick's speech in a team meeting.

Guess they did him a favor so he could have ~2-3 weeks with a new team before the 90 man cutdown.

Still surprising to see him cut though.

Yep, that too. The probably decided they didn't want that attitude/distraction around their young secondary to "poison the well". Elder players need to be a positive influence on younger players, not the other way around.

Exactly right!

Are people taking delight in Scandrick getting released or the dumb Commanders for signing him? I mean he took them for a cool mil.

He could have been helped with our new secondary coach early on in his career. He could have had so many int if he just turned his head around. Never got his head around.

OS was a good Cowboy who gave us a lot of quality play at value cap dollars and draft expense but he suffered some nasty injuries last year and was always a limited athlete.
I also hate when pro athletes that play elsewhere live in LA. They seem to decline fast. See Miles Austin, Terrell Owens who started that theory for me.
Wish him the best but Dallas moved on at the proper time.

He's from LA. Born there. Why should he live somewhere else? He's got a 5 month out of the year job with an employer who can cut ties at any time. Gee, I'd rather have a stable home base so my kids could be around family and not have to move around.

Also. He played 10 years and will likely catch on elsewhere for an 11th. That's not "decline fast"

I think OS was a useful albeit under-appreciated member of our defense for a long time.

Like many other athletes, his body declined over many punishing years. I wish him well.

Loved him early in his career. Was nasty, tough, never backed down and a fighter.

The more injured he got, the bigger his mouth seemed to become.

No ill will towards him. However, a lot of this was brought upon himself for the negative light he shown upon himself.
