Scandrick released

There is more to the story, I am sure. I suspect he tested someone's authority and lost. The emergence of the young CB's helped the decision but that was not the reason for his release. I have absolutely no proof, just a gut feeling.

I just hope they aren't tempted to bring him back.

Let the Scandrick era be done with.

He was a pretty good player at times and just about the time you gain confidence in him he has a horrible game.

To be fair, he was probably our defensive MVP in 2014, then tore his ACL and MCL in the next training camp and was never the same. We have the habit of overlooking the role that a major injury has in a player's fall-off. It took Scandrick several years to become a starting corner, then it lasted briefly, possibly primarily because of the injury.

OS was a good Cowboy who gave us a lot of quality play at value cap dollars and draft expense but he suffered some nasty injuries last year and was always a limited athlete.
I also hate when pro athletes that play elsewhere live in LA. They seem to decline fast. See Miles Austin, Terrell Owens who started that theory for me.
Wish him the best but Dallas moved on at the proper time.
I feel the same way about my boy Oscandalous. It's time to let it go. Father Time is indeed undefeated.

Right now he is not as good as Brown or Lewis.

I like OScan and appreciate what he did for the team, but now he is an emergency phone call if our CBs go down.

I always saw Scandy as avg player, nothing special. He made out like a bandit in Dallas. Jerry & Co must have liked him, having kept him that long.

remember all the crap he was talking....well apparently he should have been more focused on his play....i love the fact that we got rid of him and Dez....this team is moving in the right directioN!

He was a solid draft pick.
Definitely got good value out of him.

The play I remember most was a semi-blocked FG against the Commanders that he picked up, reversed field, and almost scored.

It was one of those plays that went on forever and everyone on the field looked dead tired by the end.

he was pretty much mostly a average player all the time he was here he had like seven or eight interceptions in his time here he is done time for him to find something else to do

TO BE released..not sure its official but who cares another EX cowboy who ran his mouth upon leaving that is Homeless maybe he and Dez can grab some purple drank and talk smack about the bad ole days..oh the grass is not always greener when you value yourself WAYYYYYYY higher then reality..rip both of you..
Scandy can't even play for the Browns. At least Dez will have a job.....if he makes the team.

Scandrick had 1 really good year and a lot of average years until last year which was below average. I was so glad for him to be gone.

Exactly... Wouldn't lose one second of sleep if he was gone a few years back..

Scandrick was a 5th round draft pick and made the most of it despite of injuries. He never had the talent of a Darrell Green and became a solid #3 corner who made some plays behind the likes of Newman, Carr, Claiborne, and others.

He really should retire.

scando had the misfortune of going to a team that had a plethora of up and coming d-backs. he became expendable. a progress stopper of sorts.

Skins bringing in DRC for a visit.

Likely Scandrick is still hurt
