Scandrick released

Strange the Skins would cut him now. He’s wasn’t even 6 on the depth chart?

If I’m going to remember OS for anything, it’s for this bizarre interview he did on 105.3 the fan 3 or 4 years ago.

OS was getting annoyed that the hosts kept trying to give him the nickname “the grouch” or something because any time he talks he sounds grouchy and annoyed. OS got pretty mad about it and said he wouldn’t interview with them again

If the forum likes a Cowboys FO move...then McClay did it.
If not....must have been a Jones decision.
You're catching on.......the real question is where were all of the "good moves" Jerry made in the 20+ years prior to McClay coming on board? Are we to now believe that after 20+ years of failures Jerry's 40 year old brain finally "gets it"?

Scandrick had 1 really good year and a lot of average years until last year which was below average. I was so glad for him to be gone.
Agreed. He was a really good bridge player, played well enough Dallas could focus else where but never “well-above average”

scandy will either retire or wait for the season to start after injuries happen.

He got slow and started making business decisions. He used to be tough vs the run even though his tackling form was always trash. If anything is a young mans position it’s cornerback

I doubt any major decisions get made w/out Stephen Jones being on board...in some cases pushing the decision. I suspect Jerry defers a lot these days to his son.

I think attitude also factored into why he's no longer here, and why I don't expect him back.

Commanders training camp was held in Richmond where I am and I heard on the radio today that his “feisty” attitude is what cost him his job with them as well.

I figure they like feisty guys. Perhaps its against the coaches.

Never ceases to amaze me how this fanbase, especially, on this board, craps on a guy who had a pretty decent career with the organization. He was a 5th round pick and pretty much a starter for much his career. He made good money and was a good player. Age and injury caught up to him.

OS was a good Cowboy who gave us a lot of quality play at value cap dollars and draft expense but he suffered some nasty injuries last year and was always a limited athlete.
I also hate when pro athletes that play elsewhere live in LA. They seem to decline fast. See Miles Austin, Terrell Owens who started that theory for me.
Wish him the best but Dallas moved on at the proper time.
Terrell Owens didn't decline fast though.

He spent that off-season at 34 years old in LA coming off an all pro season and came back and did about 75% as much with the same number of targets.
DAL didn't just release him for attitude stuff. He declined big time that one off-season.

He showed in Buff and Cincy that he was well past his prime.

That was my first ughh I hate dudes going to LA thought.
Then it occurred with his replacement a couple season later, Miles Austin.

He was trash that we tried to get rid of for years. But this front office sucks at acquiring talent at the CB position. Overpaying Carr and trading everything to get claiborne to replace bumdrick. He was above average 1 season and trash for 8. My nicknames for him throughout the years were trash *** scandrick and bumdrick. People tried to defend him for years and I always said he wouldn't even make another team's roster. LOL. Next up is Ty Craw. Where are all the ty craw lovers that will be upset when he doesn't make a roster next year.

He could have been a solid player.
Problem is he gave less effort than any Cowboy that's ever put the Star on his head.
You sure you're not talking about Mike Jenkins? You know, that 1st round selection from the same draft that shied away from contact more than Deion.

TCrawford is a man.... he plays several positions well and does it for a very reasonable 6-7m a year
