Things are going so well. My instinct is to look up to see if I can spot the falling piano. REASONS:
For all those moaning about Bledsoe: #1 pick, 4 time pro bowler, been to the SB.
The man has PROVEN he can do it. Add to that he is as motivated as he has ever been, and he has been given the tools and a coach that knows and trusts him. Baring injuries- he should do very well.
JJ: just absolutely ate D's up when we had NOTHING else to take the pressure off of him. Freak injury so that does not worry me at all- BUT you always have to worry- even really tough backs can get injured. You never know when or how- it just happens. BUT baring that even with some problems on the O line he WILL GET THE JOB DONE.
The O line: the TALENT is there; we have 3 former pro bowl players and two young guys with lots of talent, and Gurode has shown that he should have been left at Center where he started here as a rookie; Johnson is very solid; and Pettiti is one of the stories of this year. Just have to hope the Hotel keeps his head in the games, and we do not lose LA or Rivera to injury.
TE- no more needs to be said after Witten and Campbell.
WR's: We have probably the best possession WR in the game; a top deep threat, another really good #2, and a very promising young WR.
DL: almost an embarrasment of riches; by far the deepest unit on the team and maybe the deepest in the NFL.
LB's: maybe our only real area of concern due to the changing D and a lot of young guys. But like the O line the TALENT is there.
CB: a guy that started 7 games for us last year could not even make the team this year. Nuff said.
S: Roy is the man; Davis looks good- but coverage will be a concern untill it is shown that it won't be.
P- THUNDERFOOT!!!
K- my last area of concern- but if we score a lot of TD's no biggie.
There is really no reason not to think that we can fight it out with the Eagles for the division ALL year.
