while wondering whatever happened to the Dallas fan base.
This win was ugly and at times hard to watch. But it was a win on the road. And you take those without complaint. 3-3 is about where we should be given the schedule thus far. Given our injury situation we are fortunate to be at .500.
Dez is a man child in every way. I love the young man's desire and heart. I also thinks he sometimes needs a spanking.
I really hope Costa is okay. For all the hatred he has endured he may well be a top 5 OC when he actually plays. I watched him yesterday and he laid nasty blocks on folks.
This team needs to get some breaks.
And I don't mean the non-call of PI in the 4th quarter.
BTW, the announcers had just stated not 20 mins earlier that the officials were allowing hand-checking and letting them play and they excused the DB grabbing Dex's arm on a sure-fire TD. So let's stop calling it "great fortune". It was how the refs chose to call the game.
This team needs a break with health. They need to get Lissemore, Costa, Murray all back. They need to get Witten, Dez, Miles all healthy at once ... pretty please.
Garrett isn't an offensive genius. And that's okay so long as he realizes it and sticks to the script. Nothing crazy or over the top. Just stick to the tried and true method. I have no issues going conservative. Just be consistent with that plan and help the defense help you.
Pick your shots but don't lose games. Call plays that help Dez and Romo play smart, conservative football. You can't have a playcaller, QB and lead WR all wanting desperately to score a TD every play without getting into trouble.
Anthony Spencer: He is a good player and will be hard to replace but he really does lack that one extra step to be a sack guy. He played his butt off yesterday and still had less pass rush impact than either Ratliff (who occasionally beat 3 guys) and Ware.
This team needs to learn to win games and sometimes winning ugly is more important than rolling people. Figuring out how to win matters. Yesterday they won they could have lost and that is a step in the right direction.
Dallas is tied for 2nd in the NFCE now. I'll gladly take it. Also are undefeated in the division.
