Good OP. And yes I am one that did not like day 3 of the draft. Yes I understand it is about value. However if you have...say...a starting QB and a back up QB, and say a 3rd QB you want to see what you have, but you like him...just because there is value at a QB when you need oh, OL...you don't or should not draft that QB. Sometimes you need to go outside the box.
Not saying this happened, before people get their panties in a wad and start whining at me. But I feel, IMO, this is what happened.
I hope Schultz can develop, I hope Armstrong can develop, but at the expense of what player? If Gregory returns, and those 2 push Ealy or Tapper off the roster, or both, then ok. Covington, good, we needed LB depth. White at QB, to compete with Rush, well, didn't like it, but drafting a QB to develop and compete, I can live with that.
Wilson at WR, did not need, value maybe, but can't tell be there was not a defensive player there that was close in value, which we needed over another WR. Bo at RB, I feel the same, but ok, will go with that for now, but show me on the field with these players, or some of them.
Bt then again 6th and 7th round draft picks anymore are considered crap shoots, some stand out, some to the PS, some do nothing. And that is for all teams.
So I will sit back, root for all of them. Not going to hate on any players, just because I do not agree at the time they were drafted. I will get over it.
