Schedule so Far

I think 6-2 could give you a chance at a WC

The problem is, looking at the Seahawks' remaining schedule, they're a pretty decent bet to go at least 9-7, and they have the head-to-head tiebreaker on us.

People are gonna sleep on Cleveland and the Browns will likely stun the hell out of them.

Cleveland is 6th best at taking the ball away.

Dallas is 2nd worst at giving the ball away.

Do the math.

No schedule with the Panthers and Buccaneers on it could be that tough. Seattle is questionable as well. Nice defense, but an absolute turd at QB in today's NFL.

If Dallas played the Bucs on any other week than the week they played them, Tampa would have won. Hell, they probably would have won if not for the fumble blown dead.

The got stuck in a rut but have since rebounded, winning 3 of their last 4 and scoring like 35 points per game in the process.

The Browns are a hard team to predict. They get blown out or their defence looks like world beaters (like the Chargers game last week)

I'd say they drop three more games minimum.
Seattle has to play Chicago and Miami on the road and Seattle looks paltry on the road. Then they have San Francisco at home. Yeah Seattle plays tough at home but the 49ers are no pushovers. IMO, Dallas can afford one more loss and still have a chance at the sixth seed.

If the Cowboys can find a way to win next week it will not be a for sure thing that they will go 7-5. I know why some people think that might happen (and yes it could happen). But the thing is in the NFL there are no for sure wins. Even the Cleveland Browns can win and they allready have 2 wins. Even if you are the best team in the NFL and you are playing the worst team in the NFL it's still not a for sure thing that you will win that game. Also with the Cowboys it's like they have good games and bad games so much that it's hard to know what they will do next.

What have you seen thus far that makes you think the team is even capable of finishing the season with only 1 more loss?

If we lose only one more, we probably would have a chance at the division. The Giants have a much tougher schedule remaining than we do, and we'll almost certainly end up with the head-to-head tiebreaker if we somehow manage to finish with the same record.

However slim those hopes are, they're likely based on the schedule we've played and the schedule we have left. We've played (by far) the toughest schedule in the league so far, and there's only one team left on our schedule that doesn't have a losing record right now.

C'mon man, with the exception of Seattle this team was a play or two away from winning or losing games. They have been in almost every game down to the wire. The Cowboys have a relatively easy schedule here on out.

If you can only beat bad teams, you're mediocre. Which is exactly what the Cowboys are.

Yea, if you get your teeth kicked in by anybody that is any good........you suck.

We have 3 wins on the season...........2 of those are against Carolina and Tampa.

This means you suck, no other way to sugar coat it.

This upcoming game against a bad Philly team is crucial; therefore, they will probably beat us like a Jason Garrett, err..a red-headed step-child. We will be their elixir to their ailment.

If Jason continues with his offensive, predictable philosophy, we will be lucky to win 7 games.

I mean really, how does he not see that his job could be in jeopardy and change things up, is he that stubborn?

Yes, we have -- by far.

Our remaining schedule is the third-easiest in the league right now. If we had any sort of home-field advantage, you could argue that it's the easiest, because we have five home games left, and the only two teams with more difficult schedules (very slightly more difficult) both have only four.

So what you are saying is that we cant beat any of the good teams in the league. We have played the hardest schedule and if not for Carolina and Tampa we would have 1 win on the season. So we played the big boys and lost to almost all of them. Gee, I am full of confidence right now.

Thats basically what you are saying, right? Bottom line is we suck.

We already did beat "any of the good teams."

Think of it this way -- we're undefeated against teams that have a losing record right now, and we play seven of them in our next eight games. In other words, our remaining schedule is full of teams whose record right now is WORSE than Tampa Bay's.

All seven of the losing teams we have left are likely to have losing records when we play them. So, if we can just beat the losing teams on our schedule from here on out, we'll probably finish 10-6.

After watching these Cowboys, what in the world makes you think we can win even 6 of 7 even against sub-.500 teams?

Our offense blows and Garrett is holding their potential back. We (at best) split with Wash and Philly and NO might be clicking by the time we play them. Cincy is not going to be a cake-walk either.

We have 5 losses and we are going to "probably" be 10-6?

:laugh2:

We will be lucky to end the season at .500 and even thats a big IF.

I said *IF* we can just beat the losing teams on our schedule from here on out, we'll probably finish 10-6.

In other words, I think we'll *probably* face seven more losing teams. It could be more or less than that. But if we do play seven more losing teams, and *if* we beat them all, we would be at least 10-6.

:lmao: at this thread. c'mon guys, smarten up. this team will lose next week and lose at least 2 more games the rest of the season. we don't have the luxury of checking off wins on the schedule just b/c we're playing losing teams. i don't understand why so many of us keep falling for this spin every week.
