Schedule

There was an article a year or two ago on ESPN that showed there's essentially no correlation between the three extra days of rest and winning %.

Soooooooo, let me get this straight. We play the Rams on Sunday with them coming in on 10 days rest, and the the Packers next Sunday, with them coming in on 10 days rest? Well, that sucks!

I'm one that don't believe that 10 days is necesarily a positive.....a team gets mentally prepared playing on Sundays and then along comes a 10 day stretch to disrupt that can derail that routine....same goes for a short week or with the Boys playing on Thanksgiving they play 2 games in 4 days.

The one that really irked me was a couple of years ago, Dallas played a Sunday NIGHT game against a division rival IN New York, then played on Thanksgiving on Thursday......which I still think was by design by our genius commisioner to appease his boy toy.

Meanwhile the Pats get Browns, Dolphins, Jets as usual (worst division ever), and Saints, Texans, and University of Maryland University College...no wonder they have homefield every year. Then they cheat for two games and find themselves in the SB.

Well it's been a lot of years since I've played but if I had three games in 12 days the only thing I'd be saying is whoop no time for practice!

We always seem to get a crappy layout on the schedule. But it is what it is. These 10 days that LA & GB get don't bother me so much as it used to would have.
But what still bothers me is we always finish, or seems to. We finish with more road games than we do home games in December.

At least this year, we will get 10 days before we go to NY. We always had the 10 days after T-Day, but I think this is the 3rd year in a row, we play a Thursday night game after the T-Day game, then we get the 10 days off. Not sure if I like that at all either. Especially we play a SNF game this year, but at home, then play T-Day.

so that is 3 games in 11 days yet again. But they all are at home. Then 3 of last 4 on the road.

I am not sure that is a good thing. It just means Aaron passes more.

From what parts I did watch, that rookie RB Jones didn't look all that bad. He was their 3rd RB. They had another RB that got hurt. Also one of their WR, Adams got tagged pretty good, and was carted off the field. But 10 days, he could be back if a concussion. He had movement in the locker room. So probably just concussion protocol now, if he has one.

We also play 3 games in 12 days in late November.
You do realize the usual is always 3 games in 14 days right?
It is only 2 days less than the standard. It always kills me when I hear this every year it seems.

Well if Rodgers needs to pass more, then more opportunities for sacks. I think they were playing back up tackles. But probably will be healthy by the time we play them. LOL.
