Great deal ... Pollard:One of emerging explosive young talents in the entire NFL .

.. folks tripping between a slef healing fibula break ...and a myths of paying RBs too much ...should just " rent" a RB every 4 years ...

Great , so now we have two 10 million a year RB’s that won’t be enough . Lol
Zeke should be cleaning out his locker right now, aint no way in hell he is staying with Pollard getting tagged.

Cutting Zeke will save us over $10 million, which happens to be the tag price for a RB.

So, unless Zeke takes a massive paycut this move signals the end of Zeke's career in Dallas and possibly the NFL.

As expected. Glad to have him for at least another year.

Pollard going down against SF and the offense going into the crapper spooked the team.

They view Pollard and Lamb as the only legit weapons on offense.

Zeke either gets released now or takes massive paycut, cant carry the Ewok at $17 million now that Pollard is banking $10.

What about the three years he sat behind Zeke and just did what he was told?

No value in that?
Sadly..no. It means very little. In this league its all about the here and now and producing at a high level. Fair or unfair, his loyalty in the past wont equate wins. The facts are he has been injured in a big way 2 years in a row. The guy might not be the same. Runners like him need full confidence in their wheels, and can he cut? Will the short area burst be there? I just think Dallas is assuming all the risk here foolishly. Did we learn anything from the MG thing? How'd that work out? Never sign injured guys even if we drafted them. Loyalty by a player and a team is risky and rarely pans out. This is a business and needs treated as such.

I only like it if it means Zeke isn't back or accepts being number two on the depth chart. Otherwise they are burning money

so we are giving a 2nd deal AGAIN to a rb. Thats 10 million we won't have UNLESS we sign him and prorate the cap hit. Stupid is AS stupid does.
We are taking the money from a medium quality TE and giving it to one of most effective backs in the league. No problem with it.

One more year is fine. Just cut 21 and draft his replacement.

Except he’s not so young.

This will be his 5th year and his leg is wrecked.

He's only 25.

And most of his cowboys career, he's been limited in play time as Garrett wanted to continue to bang up Zeke to ground.
They did not want to trust Pollard.
Not like it's starter wear n tear.

And here comes yet another post that is going act like it's a Prescott break in half ankle injury? ..lol
He's expected to be a go for training camp.
But feel free to PUP him as you like.;)

Can't believe they are going to tie up $12m on a part-time running back coming off of an injury.

You left out the part about Pollards leg getting torn up.

You mean Pollard???

Dallas will wait to see how much speed he’s lost due to the bone fractures/ligament rips.

I’d guess the 4.4 speed he had is gone.

So the 10 million tag is a safe bet for Jerry.

He tore ligaments and broke his leg.

And Zeke is still the starter.

I don’t know why everybody is panicking about Pollards injury and future cap

Pollard underwent a "TightRope" procedure instead of a surgery that required screws into the tibia and fibula for a repair. In this procedure, a braided polyethylene cord, rather than a rigid surgical screw, is applied to restore the original position of the bones and to allow for proper healing.

Pollard should be at full strength well before training camp. Tua Tagovailoa underwent a similar surgery while at Alabama, and Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehillalso had the procedure recently. Pollard also suffered a fractured fibula but that will heal with time.
