I listened to that piece. I don't think that you can say it was reported as fact. Basically, he's saying that what he is hearing is that Dak will be tagged and then goes on to say that he would tag Dak.

If they franchise Dak Prescott, it will totally destroy the morale, team continuity, and team confidence going forward of the Dallas Cowboys.

Dak is not Kirk Cousins. You have never heard former Cowboys bad mouthing Dak Prescott. You have current and former Cowboy players admiring and praising him. Jerry Jones needs to let it go (whatever that is in him that he can not see what he has in Dak Prescott). Jerry does not understanding that not signing Dak had an impact on this team performance in 2019.

The locker room would be a messy intolerable place to be in 2020 with Dak Prescott on a franchise tag.

Since he seems to be so wrong for Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys, just let the man be a free agent. Cowboys have not been to a Super Bowl in 30 years with Jerry Jones the Dumbo Jocks and Socks GM so 30 more is not going to make a difference to Cowboy fans...Cowboys will be "relevant".
