What the hell are the Eagles doing?

Free-agent RB Frank Gore has told people he will sign this week with the Philadelphia Eagles, league sources told me and @caplannfl.
lolHopefully it's for 8 year $96M (or something like that) for that soon to be 32 year old running back.
I agree with the signing, I don't know about them giving us a run, I have to see more, not to mention chemistry and fit once they do get pieces..I think it's smart move. They have tons of cap space the next few years, Gore is a short term signing that won't be a cap issue for them, Kelly wanted a TB who was a north south runner as opposed to Shady who was bouncing stuff all over the place, and Gore can pass block.
I think people are poo pooing what the Eagles are doing because it's just the Eagles. Maxwell, although an overpay, is a solid signing for them and upgrades their secondary and Gore, while old, gives them a runner that Kelly wants on a very cap friendly deal. They'll likely get McCourty too and their defense will be pretty formidable in 2015 as they will have solved their biggest weakness - one of the worst secondaries in football.
The Eagles will give us a run for the division in 2015 IMO.

I'm more wondering what fans in this thread are thinking!
1. The Eagles acquired a young top tier defender in exchange for McCoy.
2. Gore is more the north-south runner suitable for Kelly's offensive style.
3. Gore catches, blocks and runs. He's not what he was a few years ago but you all are forgetting how lame the SF line was becoming.
Philly grabs two good players for one...and people here want to question it? I think you all are the looney ones and to watch you all bandwagon about this is a bit embarrassing.
It is likely that Kelly views Gore as a 1-year (2 year max) bridge.
