So if I'm a Lame Duck coach what would I do? Would I coach for other jobs, try to win a title, or say **** and just throw the season?

If you say **** and throw the season, how does that help you in the long run? The only way to “coach for other jobs“ is to win. Of course he will try to win a title. The problem is he fail.

Wasnt this fairly obvious when they had the press conferenece the other day and they asked Fat Mike about a contract extension and he said "I did not come to Dallas to get contract extension, I came to Dallas to win Championships".

I mean, if that is not a Captain Obvious moment, I really dont know what is.

It was crystal clear he was being brought back to finish out his contract, if he was going to get a new extension it would have been announced at the presser.

By not giving him an extension you’re letting him be a lame duck, showing you don’t fully believe in him

So in that case, what the hell is the point in having him back!

Good point. Why bother waste the season if you’re moving on next year.
