What happened was they knew it was an NFC East team that was interested and assumed it was Dallas, not Philly. Nobody knew.

And really how is Twitter any differnet than the dumb rumor threads we get? I think its old people pissed at technology.

The bold part is the issue. You don't guess something and report it as a fact.

And I really have nothing against Twitter. I don't do it, but I'm certainly not pissed at it. It's just that a professional reporter can't put news out on it and then claim "Oh, it was just a tweet" like Schefter did.
