Schefter: Players informed of their release this week

I think this chart makes clear where the Cowboys need to focus their draft selections. RB, DL, LB. I would take 2 of each in this draft. Given the depth at RB and DL, that should not be a problem. But I would not rule out any impact player in the first round.
As it stands now.....I would probably trade down a few spots (18-20) for an extra 2nd or 3rd and take draft Campbell. RB and DL with the next 2-3 picks.......

Jonathan Allen and Harold Landry would be great upgrades. Also safety. We have 8th most cap space. Resigning Micah we go up another 15-18 million. They’re not going to keep this space. All their big names are resigned. It’s time to make some moves. Tons of talent out there. For once listen to us Jerry lol
I'd like to see what Juanyeh Thomas can do with far more extensive play time and development ..than what he received under DC Mike Zimmer.

And its a reason why they just re-signed Juanyeh.

Its been said that the Cowboys would only draft a safety high, if they think he's a blue chip prospect. level. I think I'm aboard with that philosphy too.

They made it stretch with the 8th most cap space .. .they can do so again ..

- The NFL team cap will keep going up,..All the big names haven't been re-signed.. yet. - the next guys to prioritize re-signing are Micah and Tyler Smith, ..
They may want to see CB Bland in a full season ,before they prioritize him.

- I'm interested to see what happens with Donovan and Hooker ... It's said that the club loves Hooker's football IQ and leadership and it's been remarkable
how durable he has been as compared to his Indy career,.. but i questioned his range at this stage of his career. I'd really like more big plays from the FS role.

- Just as i thought Juanyeh was mis-schemed by DC Zimmer, i thought the same with Donovan.
He's more of a rover, near line of scrimmage & underneath player. A blitzer, a LOS tackler He has a knack for strip fumbles, sacks and has ball hawk INT skills
Zimmer preferred him farther in deep coverage beyond what his skill set indicates, imo.
