Schefter: What the Cowboys/Packer Parsons trade means a year later

[jazzcat22]

Compare that to getting Emmitt Smith, Russell Maryland, and Darren Woodson for Herschel Walker.

That is not really true.

[Flinger]

Here's an idea - never trade a generational player before they are 30.

[nate dizzle]

Clearly they are not factoring in that this trade allowed us to extend Daron Bland.

[rambo2]

Yes for GB.

Exactly, Parsons hasn't even played this year.

[irishline]

So, in hindsight, you keep him and pay $45M?

He hasn't made $45 million in either of the two years the Packers have had him and won't next year. Each of those years is less than $25 million. Would make $42 in 2028 if you kept him and didn't restructure. This $45 million per year thing is kind of overblown.

[Ironicalicon]

I've never thought of him as "toxic". Maybe a d****e.
