The consensus was that Dallas would be foolish not to sign Gaither. Their opinion was that Dallas can't get a player close to Gaither's Caliber at #27, and could plug him in at LT for the next seven years.

Apparently there's smoke coming out of San Fran regarding a trade for McNabb. I say: too bad. I like watching my 'Boys spank him around.

I just read a rumor about McNabb to STL for a 2nd rounder. Apparently from the radio in Philly.

If we feel we have our answer at LT in Free, then we'd be fools to trade our #27 for Gaither.

Well, Gaither then could play RT. and keep Colombo as the Back up.

We have a solid RT now in Columbo, and the team is optomistic about Brewster over there.

I love LT as a position and value it highly but there is zero guarantee a guy who played well for another team in a different scheme comes in here and excels. What is guaranteed is that you will absolutely have to pay a bundle to that LT and also give up a 1st round draft choice.

If the Ravens are willing to let him walk we must consider why. Probably money.

Well this OL already has big money all across it and we will eat more to cut Flozell.

This move should be a consideration but a long shot.

We're trying to bargain shop with Free and if he isn't a success then we will pretty much screw our season up if Flo is released.

To me if you believe Free is the answer at LT than you cut Flo and his contract no questions asked.

I also don't like the idea of having 2 finesse guys on the Left Side of the line. Keepem spread out.

How dare you?

Gaitherism is displeased.

Why do you need to release Flozell and his contract in a cap-less year?

Just because?

We aren't interested in trading Bennet for a first, but we'd be interested in trading him, a third rounder, and a solid lineman for Gaither?

Okay.

They don't want to let him go. They want to eventually move him to RT so their recent 1st round pick can play LT. Gaither and his agent are resisting this move because LT's make much more money than RT's.

If you can get him to sign an offer that represents LT money, Baltimore may let him go and take the pick because they don't want to have to pay both tackles LT money.

Okay.

Well they treated Bennett like gold because they used alot of two TE sets and didnt know what they had in Phillips AT THE TIME.

Bennett is expendable now and not nearly worth a first rounder now.

Wonder if the lack of interest in Gaither is more about price tag/Free than confidence in the overall depth.

I really hope they go hard after Iupati or Anthony Davis still

:lmao2: Why on earth would you trade our starting RT and our quality backup TE plus a 3rd for gaither when you could keep the line the way it is now for 1 more season and let Free sit 1 more year. Or you could let Free start and let Flo basck him up in an uncapped season!:bang2:
