The one thing that is correct is how insanely stacked the NFC is. Arizona is putrid on offense but they are mediocre qb play away from good. Detroit has potential to be good. Washington is the team that may slide to me depending on rgiii s health.

I read that earlier most of it seemed ok to me. Except you cant say we're worst in nfc. Id say were tied for 3rd with the eagle as of now.

In this case, fingers in the ears would be a blessing. This messenger had it coming.

I'm not shocked to see you accept the message without even considering what it said.

I don't feel the excuses for last year's results are sufficient to warrant rewriting history.

I also see other teams making moves and this team sitting on its hands from a self imposed handcuffing. This lack of restraint in over-paying players that have peaked, or in some cases were not as good as the assessment the brain trust applied, has put this team at a distinct disadvantage.

I don't believe 8-7 going into the last game means much on a year when the East was down.

Lots of football left to be tended to. But at this juncture, right now, today, I see nothing wrong with an appraisal that suggests this Dallas Cowboy team is trailing the others.

All the coaching in the world doesn't cause quantum improvement when mediocre is the standard.

And so far coaching changes seems to be the only peg to hang ones hat when discussing the Dallas Cowboys.

Second google result for the mediot in question: "Adam Schein is a Jerk"

Clearly the Cowboys are better than the Eagles were last year and were good enough to be in contention until the last game of the season despite what was it-14 players of note missing significant time?

The guy is just a hater....I know we are an 8-8 team but I think that everyone will agree that we can beat anyone when we play well or at least play a very close game. We proved that last year. You add in the fact that EVERY team would, for the most part, rather beat us than any team on their schedule and it makes for a tough opponent. I think that is a big reason why we struggle at home because teams love to play in Dallas and are a tough out..........

Whatever. I know youre sad, generally. But you couldn't have read that article carefully. He didn't just say we're worse than the team we finished ahead of in the East. He said we're so much worse that its not even debatable. Then he went on to say we're one of the worst teams in the conference.

No matter how sad you want to make yourself, those types of sweepingly wrong conclusions should give you room for pause. This is a weak argument in search of attention. And it gets it from some. As I said, consider the sources, then disregard them.

He's really not. That's a poorly conceived and poorly argued article right there.

While there might be a question with the eagles and a new coach, I have no clue how anyone could come away thinking Dallas is anything but the worst in the East.

Woulda, shoulda, coulda goes a long way on this board.

But every time I see those types of posts I think of Mr. Miyagi.

Danielsan, you karate do. You karate no do. No you karate maybe.

There is a lot of football maybe here with the rewriting of history.

Is Vick still Philly's QB? Yes
Brand new coach, brand new system on offense. Brand new scheme for the defense (moving to a 4-3)starting from scratch in the secondary basically with 3 new starters there.

How can anyone say with any confidence they will improve with all of that going on?

Can you specifically point to the reasons that the Eagles, Commanders and Giants are significantly better right now than they were a year ago. Don't cite injuries because that doesn't apparently have any effect on a team's record.

Tell me the improvements in coaching and/or newly acquired personnel that justify these teams to all be so far ahead of Dallas that it isn't even a legitimate question whether Dallas is worst in the NFCE and is bottom 4 in the conference.

I'll give you a few things to help start:

Commanders - No first round pick, QB coming off major knee injury, no free agency help

Giants - Lost Marty B, Chris Canty, Kenny Phillips, Bernard unsigned, Blackburn unsigned, Umenyora unsigned. Additions Lewis Murphy, Cullen Jenkins, Dan Connor, Aaron Ross

Eagles - Lost King Dunlap, Cullen Jenkins, Namdi Asomugha, DRC, Mike Patterson. Signed Sopoaga, Barwin, Chung, Phillips.

Maybe what you should try to do in the future is not assign emotions to me that you absolutely have no inkling about.

I am not sad, depressed or anything else you wish to paint my commentary.

I look at the team, see aging players and don't come away with a notion they will suddenly have health because some fan hoped for it.

I also don't believe a scheme change will happen over night.

And hyperbole aside, there is a sound argument that can be made that this is one of the poorer teams in the NFC.

So while you sit on your four leaf clover wishing for touchdowns and turnovers, there is a great deal of evidence that suggests unless this team pulls a rabbit out of the hat, next year will be much like the one just completed.

The .500 Happy Hour mindset is wishing based on emotion.

I prefer to use my thinker.

Being so far ahead - your words - isn't what I said. I think we are behind.

Commanders - No first round pick, QB coming off major knee injury, no free agency help - RG3 in his second year will be better than his first.

Giants - Lost Marty B, Chris Canty, Kenny Phillips, Bernard unsigned, Blackburn unsigned, Umenyora unsigned. Additions Lewis Murphy, Cullen Jenkins, Dan Connor, Aaron Ross

Tom Coughlin will refocus and has shown enough that he will have a down season and come back with a vengeance that one has to take that into account.

Eagles - Lost King Dunlap, Cullen Jenkins, Namdi Asomugha, DRC, Mike Patterson. Signed Sopoaga, Barwin, Chung, Phillips.

New offense that will play to the strength of the quarterback that was a rookie last year.

My words continually offend you,. Yet you give no credit to the fact they were correct two straight years. You attribute that to luck.

However, since the 2007 season I have been pretty consistently right about this team regardless of how you want to rewrite my predictions.

I can't help you or anyone else here.

Drafting OL will help, but I don't believe where Dallas drafts they will be able to latch onto players that will be what Smith was two seasons ago.

Dallas will go defense, because Jerry thinks the OL is fine.

The muddled crap on the OL will again keep Romo from closing the deal because of protection.

But as I said, they could pull a rabbit out of the hat. But going by their track record, that seems unlikely.

New defensive scheme, no significant upgrade to the OL, Romo continually his running around - with a potential that of the three - Lee, Murray and Carter that two of the three will be again hurt.

Ergo, a tougher NFC East along with the status quo for Dallas puts them in the cellar in my opinion.

You can choose to disagree, but please leave off your insight into what you think I think.

You've seldom been correct when you slip on your Madame Cleo gear.

I've had to listen to Adam Schein's horrible voice for years on Sirius NFL Radio. My 9 month old grandson knows more about sports than Schein. He truly is an idiot that has a huge ego (for some unknown reason). Seriously, how that guy is employed as a sports talk show personality is one of the world's great mysteries.

Yah. PM me for a hug whenever you're done propping up the weak argument you can't defend on its merits. We're not one of the worst teams in the conference.

Although I'm not as positive as some on here I'm not all doom and gloom either. We are not the worst team in the conference or even one of the worst. We might be the worst in the nfce east but it is debatable unlike what schien says.

Two Deep it's hard for people to except reality.

I don't think that you want Dallas to have a losing season. Since Parcells left there has been many questionable personnel decisions made by management which resulted in these losing or 8-8 seasons.

So I think fans confuse your reality and solid observations with being negative.
