My words continually offend you,. Yet you give no credit to the fact they were correct two straight years. You attribute that to luck.
However, since the 2007 season I have been pretty consistently right about this team regardless of how you want to rewrite my predictions.
I can't help you or anyone else here.
Drafting OL will help, but I don't believe where Dallas drafts they will be able to latch onto players that will be what Smith was two seasons ago.
Dallas will go defense, because Jerry thinks the OL is fine.
The muddled crap on the OL will again keep Romo from closing the deal because of protection.
But as I said, they could pull a rabbit out of the hat. But going by their track record, that seems unlikely.
New defensive scheme, no significant upgrade to the OL, Romo continually his running around - with a potential that of the three - Lee, Murray and Carter that two of the three will be again hurt.
Ergo, a tougher NFC East along with the status quo for Dallas puts them in the cellar in my opinion.
You can choose to disagree, but please leave off your insight into what you think I think.
You've seldom been correct when you slip on your Madame Cleo gear.
Your tone where you talk down to everyone may have been effective as the Grand Poobah of the Ranch, but as an everyday typical poster, it really loses a great deal of it's effect.
As for your words offending me, again you flatter yourself. I responded to your original post not because I was offended, but simply because you gave nothing to back your opinion on. You still haven't. Somehow in your mind you think that the Giants, Eagles and Commanders have suddenly become so much better than us that it's laughable to even argue against the original author's work.
Heck, I even forgot a few things like Ware's injury and the fact the Eagles have completely cleaned house in my starter's list for you.
As for your predictions, I honestly couldn't tell you any of your predictions on the team. You generally are on the pessimistic side of things...I'd be surprised if you picked 8-8 both years, I would have expected it to be lower coming from you. Whatever you picked, you can't escape the fact that both years we were in the hunt coming down to the last week or two of the season. To think that injuries factored into at least one loss if not more wouldn't be unreasonable.
So, somehow in your mind this team has gotten old. Would you be surprised if I told you there are only 10 guys on the team that have been here longer than 4 years? Romo, Witten, Ware, Spencer, Ratliff, Scandrick, Free, Hatcher, La and Austin. We only have 8 guys that are 30 or older and of those, I would guess that not more than one or two of them at most will be significantly worse than they were a year ago. Average age of the current roster listed on DC.com is less than 26. If anything, the roster is likely to get younger throughout the remainder of the offseason. Name any guy that we have lost this offseason that you think is a significant loss.
Given the above, it means we have a lot of guys that have yet to hit their primes. Claiborne. Bryant. Lee. Carter. Crawford. Church. Johnson. Albright. Wilbur. Bailey. Tyron. Hanna. Costa. Lissemore. Harris. Leary. Coale. Beasley.
Free Agency still is a ways from being over. The draft is coming. There are likely to be 2-4 significant contributors that will be added to this team between those two items. Offensive lineman can come and be immediate starters. Defensive linemen in the draft can quickly be rotation guys. RB's can contribute from day one.
Kiffin's D is one that isn't complicated or tricky. Most of the time, teams know what they are going to face but it's just not really easy to make big plays against. And it's not just Kiffin coming in and having to teach the whole scheme. Marinelli knows it inside and out as well.
I am not going to argue Super Bowl. I think playoffs are within our reach if we have a better year health wise.
