Criticism for too much running which resulted in FG, when a TD might have clinched it. But imagine the howling if an INT had been thrown.

Up 35-7 its because the Bears are just "giving up." But when the Bears close the gap its because Dallas players have no heart.

Who believed that this defense was anything other than patchwork after a horrendous year last year? Shame on you. But the defense gets criticized mightily for being who they are - in spite of the fact that this years team (Offense by running clock, defense with the late pick) DID stop the bleeding (CHI) that last year's team could not (GBay & Detroit).

Defense played balls out to start the game. Gave up 7 on the first 5 possessions. When the team was up 28 they took the foot off the pedal and won by 13 on the road to a bad team that most seemed to think they'd lose to. It's December and the team played it's best game to me since Seattle. No complaints.

I may not think this defense is all that great, but I'm impressed that they held the Bears to 7 points as we climbed to 35. And they cause turnovers and swarm to the ball. I like that. But you're right, this defense isn't very talented, yet it's a vast improvement over last year.

Besides, we know the offense is going to have to do its job. But that's why we started emphasizing the run and time of possession. Those two factors keep our defense off the field, rested and able, if not to sack the quarterback, to create turnovers or make a team play catch up because we're controlling time of possession.

I love the win. Any win is a good win. That said, this team does have some things to work on. They should not have allowed that successful onsides kick. It was also a mistake to rush only three on 4th and 7. You use a 3-man rush on 4th and 20, not 4th and 7.

And the Bears were scoring in the 2nd half without their best wr, BMarshall.

But not so much in the first, with him.

It was the defense we were playing more than the Bears offense that got them going at the end of the game. Not that I'm a fan of that defense.

The point is, Super Bowl caliber teams put teams away. You try this crap with Philly, Patriots, then your *** gets sent home talking things like, who are we going to draft. Super Bowl teams are mean spirited teams who spits on graves.

I"m sure he would have helped in the 2nd half.

I know you don't think we are a Super Bowl Caliber team do you? We are not. But we are building to get there it seems.

I think it's funny that you mention the Super Bowl. With our D? this team has overachieved this year and put itself in a position I didn't think they would be in. I am pleased so far with our team?
