This is a pain that I'm really getting tired of tolerating.
The Philadelphia eagles are just schooling us on how to build a team. Is Jalen hurts really that much better than DAk he certainly more athletic now but the eagles decided to give him a running game.
We gave Dak a worn out Zeke and refused to play the better player in Rico until it was too late.
Eagles lost Kelce replaced him and still kept a very strong offensive line.
We replaced our offensive line with rookies that hadn't even put on their man weight yet and expected to be successful who does this???

The eagles followed the trend many teams now have an athletic quarterback that can run along with a power running game.

We have a quarterback who's mobility has been cut in half and have no running game to start the season.
The eagles are playing chess and we aren't even able to play checkers in comparison we play Tic-Tac-Toe in the dirt with a stick.

There is absolutely no way to compete in a Super bowl using Jerry's team building methods imo
We are the most financially successful dysfunctionally constructed team I have ever witnessed

If Jerry bought the Eagles...he'd probably pretty quickly fire Howie Roseman, because despite Roseman obviously running circles around Jerry, Jerry would want to call the shots.

He's infantile. The only hope is that when Jerry dies, his idiot son is at least sensible enough to realize he's a big dope and he just hire someone else to run the team. But frankly, I think Daddy has just indoctrinated him to think The Jones' know best.

No he is not.......but the margin closes really fast if you have TWO elite WRs, 2000 yard RB and a top Oline. It's not hard to see.....

Of course they go for it. They would have won the division last season as well had they not fell apart internally. But Hurts is just a game manager at this point. He can barely move anymore as well. He’s very hesitant now. Philly’s Oline and Dline are awesome. That’s the difference

It sucks being a Cowboys fan. It sucks even more being a Cowboys fan who lives in Eagles land. They’re going to beat whoever wins tonight and for the 4th year in just 8, the school I work at will be having another Eagles NFCG pep rally that I’m going to have to sit through.

Take just the Dak v Hurts part. Both can be cut in 2026, leaving a manageable Dead Cap hit. The difference is for 2024/25 Dak averages a 24% hit and Hurts just 6.5% hit... then factor in whether Jerry or Roseman is more likely to trade/cut their Franchise QB.
Even without Hurts, the Eagles are going to face pain, in the near future, but as we know Jerry has to be relevant every year...indeed in 2024, if he was resetting, he should of traded away any player on last year of their contract.....Jerry can't even tank/reset properly (he still needs Relevancy, hence timing of Dak's extention).

Until they fix the trenches they've got nothing,,, it's all smoke and mirrors and finesse,,, Garrett built a nice OL while he was here, so Jerry can be talked into it theoretically, but I'd say the norm for him is to undervalue the trenches and the defense in general.

Both of us will face similar CAP issues, but Roseman wouldn't take a seconds thought to cut/trade Hurts, nor anyone else...if it allowed him flexibility to improve in other areas. As we know the Jones will just keep adding until they reach CAP difficulty.

Our problem - one is them - is the Joneses always re-sign their own because it makes them feel like great drafters. They can't be objective and ask what is best for the team going forward... Which sometimes means letting someone go or trading them for picks.

Jerry's pathological overoptimism leads him to think every player is always going to play his best going forward, which of course is not realistic.

Was going to say the same thing. Washington has assembled a nice team, has a good young talent at QB, and just won their first playoff game in decades. Future is bright for them.

We don't even know if we are going to keep our retread coach yet. Once they figure that out, we get to get fed how broke we are and how we have to bargain bin shop.

Every team wants a QB who has some ability to move/run/get out of the pocket to extend plays. Early Dak did ok running (not that he was elusive) but that element to his game seems to have gone. We likely will have 4 years of a statue that struggles if the OL isn't perfect.

The Cowboys front office operates in a reactive approach. It's why you see them always behind and not ahead of a problem. Tyron Smith getting old didn't just creep up on them and yet here we are. Zack Martin getting old didn't just creep up on them, yet here we are. The RB issue wasn't a surprise to anyone and yet here we are. The DT problem has been an issue for a decade and yet here we are.

We as fans need to accept that the franchise we cheer for is no longer a serious organization run by serious people who view football excellence as the goal.

Hurts stinks as a thrower of the Football. The 20 minutes he had to throw on that first TD pass is why their offense is good.
