This is a pain that I'm really getting tired of tolerating.
The Philadelphia eagles are just schooling us on how to build a team. Is Jalen hurts really that much better than DAk he certainly more athletic now but the eagles decided to give him a running game.
We gave Dak a worn out Zeke and refused to play the better player in Rico until it was too late.
Eagles lost Kelce replaced him and still kept a very strong offensive line.
We replaced our offensive line with rookies that hadn't even put on their man weight yet and expected to be successful who does this???

The eagles followed the trend many teams now have an athletic quarterback that can run along with a power running game.

We have a quarterback who's mobility has been cut in half and have no running game to start the season.
The eagles are playing chess and we aren't even able to play checkers in comparison we play Tic-Tac-Toe in the dirt with a stick.

There is absolutely no way to compete in a Super bowl using Jerry's team building methods imo
We are the most financially successful dysfunctionally constructed team I have ever witnessed

What are your thoughts
My thoughts are until we get a credible GM we are never sniffing post season success.
We are just at too much of a competative disadvantage.

Hurts stinks as a thrower of the Football. The 20 minutes he had to throw on that first TD pass is why their offense is good.
Exactly and we don't have Dan Marino on our squad so maybe we should take a page out of their book and get some veteran meat on our offensive line.
They picked up Beckton from the Jets and changed his position from tackle to guard resurrecting the career of the 6-7 360 lb first round pick

.. eagles got lucky the opponent's teams quarterback decided the game was too big for him.
They also got lucky that their GM recognized all their quarterbacks weaknesses and provided him an offensive line second to none giving him seven seconds to throw and a running game where the running back could have broke the single season rushing record.

If we were only so lucky to have a GM that could recognize the weaknesses in our quarterback and go the extra mile in the off season to supplement him with more talent so he would have a supporting running game and more time to throw.

Our general manager just threw a boatload of money at our quarterback and hoped he could carry the whole team what a joke

This is partly true but the eagles quarterback did not exactly set the world on fire he had a pretty subpar playoff game to the point his top wide receiver was reading a book so he would stay calm and not lose his composure only getting one target

That said unlike us the rest of the team picked up the slack and made it happen.
They recognized Hurts was possibly Rusty from the concussion time off and they all stepped up.

But it starts with the front office and the preparation so you're not counting on just one guy like we do throw all the money at the quarterback and hope he can elevate everyone else's play where the eagles invest in their trenches and running game resurrecting the career of Becton who was floundering at the Jets speaks volumes.
When you can pick up a first round draft pick that 6 foot 7 365 lb and get him playing to his potential on your offensive line no wonder Hurts has seven seconds to throw.
While our plan is to try to take kids out of college and hope they can hit the ground running against full grown men in the NFL who plans like this???

I don't disagree with much here. Hurts is not that good of a pocket passer. He has a good TE, two really good WRs, and an outstanding running game. Literally any QB would thrive in that situation. That's a better situation than we had in 2016. They have two outstanding WRs.

We were on par with Detroit last year. Look at the direction they went, and where we went. This isn't just bad luck. This was strictly a result of this team's team building philosophy. It's what they've been doing since 2013.
