You jumping to a lot of conclusions. Not sure how many of them are true. I mean A LOT of reading between the lines and thinking you know the answers.
I’m not necessarily coming to a conclusion. All we can do is speculate based on how this season has gone. Our WRs have received a lot of criticism for their route running and inability to separate. Trading for Mingo means the Cowboys are looking for help this season, not just for the future. It was a very surprising move to trade what could end up being a high 4th round pick for a WR that’s been a bust for Carolina. The Cowboys can’t possibly be thrilled with Tolbert or Flournoy to make a trade like that.
They would have been better off playing out the season with what they have now at WR, then make a decision in free agency or the draft. Cooks is set to return soon so it’s not like he was done for the season. Flournoy got the start last night and only came up with 2 catches for 19 yards. Tolbert only had 2 for 21 yards and Mingo got targeted 4 times and didn’t come up with a catch. The Joneses have continued to mismanage the team well into the 2024 season.
