You see??? I told y'all this team would have been best served had they tanked their last 8 games, instead of trying to win as many games as possible, after the Thanksgiving Day game loss we all knew this team was not making the playoffs!
So many bashed me for being correct! Some even argued it was absurd and detrimental to tank out due to it teaching the veteran contract renewal pending players their future in Dallas doesn't matter, nor for the current coaches (including McCarthy) and their ability to financially take care of their families.
Well...I was right!!! All of that trying to win out as many games as possible was only going to help Jerry and keep filling his pockets because ignorant fans would be easily convinced this team was trying to keep a winning attitude installed in the locker room, the veteran players with contract renewals pending would still be thought off, and the current coaching staff and their family's financial security was supposedly being thought of. All lies!!! Jerry just wanted to keep you ignorants still interested in filling up his stadium. That has always been his plan for the past 30 years! Business 101.
Jerry doesn't realistically care about this team's success, building a winner, or taking care of the current staff. He just wants to keep winning enough games to keep your interest up enough to keep filling out his stadium's home games! It's all about business, keeping your interest and keeping his business at #1 in terms of yearly being the most lucrative sports company in the world, and y'all are fully responsible for it because you keep falling for his tricks.
Congratulations! The Cowboys could have easily been picking in the Top 5 this upcoming Draft for every round where it would have best helped the team make a difference to pick the best athletes available to help this team improve, but noooo, TANKING IS FOR LOSERS!!!! Remember??????
The clown show gets worse and worse. Witten is a moron. He lasted one year as a color commentator because he struggled to articulate the simplest of thoughts. At times, you had to wonder if English was his 1st language. Very possibly the final coach he'll ever hire, and instead of going big and bold to try and win his 4th before he takes up the grave, he is evidently considering a return to the Wade/Garrett gambit with Schottenheimer/Witten. Or maybe the old fool thinks Brian is Marty.
