It was an awful hire from the jump. Lazy hire as he was already in the building. Again, with McCarthy likely feeling some heat for his job, and letting go of a good number of offensive coaches, he wasn't going to have a great slate of candidates if his long term prospects weren't great. Hence, getting Schottenheimer as OC, Tolzein as QB coach and Blasko as RB coach (yes, I know he is away on medical leave, but he had never coached running backs before this hire). Not exactly setting oneself up to succeed.

This coaching staff and HOPEFULLY the QB position will be blown up after this year. I’d promote Quinn and would be looking at QB coaches from the SF and MIA coaching trees to bring in. Draft a rookie, see what you have in Lance, and Rush could always start the season as the starter. Keep your options open.

I think Dak struggles against any defense. As long as there is a defense on the field Dak struggles. It’s a copy cat league so every team will make sure to have a defense on the field.

I'm guessing you don't live here in the DFW area based off of your screen name and may not have heard this..... years ago, prior to 2009 I think, The Ticket 1310 in Dallas was the flagship radio station for the Cowboys. The team sucked pretty bad and the radio personalities were crucifying Jerry publicly. Well, Skeletor, who was a little bit younger at the time, got his feelings hurt and fired the radio station for talking crap about him and the team. This is how 105.3 ended up getting the job, and they have gone out of their way over the years kissing Skeletors butt so they don't end up getting the same fate.
