Dak's winning formula is run heavy offence, small passes to advance the chains, and play action to take strategic strikes down the field.

It puts less stress on Dak and supports his areas of strnegth. Takes him back to his rookie roots and may be a good model for keeping him standing up for 17 games.

The entirety of his gameplan on Sunday night was playing not to lose.
 
To my way of thinking you have to pinpoint the linebackers as a key problem. Play Shemar James and Marist Liufau down after down . Murray and Clark as vet reserves . Sanborn is a huge issue not sure who else you have to replace him . This year .

Clark & Murray are no way shape or form the future don’t waste PT on them . Who knows what James can become and Liufau shows possibility . The linebacking position on this club is a mess .
 
Firing the DC does nothing your stuck until 2026 then yes the HC should lead the search for a new DC not the owner not the owners daughter or son .

In pre-season there was a question posed to forumites on what areas we were concerned/interested in watching.

I had stated the LBs unit, but not for what has transpired.

My original thought was the d-line was a concern. Run defence was a scary thought. Eberflus is suppose to be the LB whisperer. So I naturally assumed this would be the unit to watch as they would be stabilizing the defence with something they feel confident in.

Man was I wrong. This unit does seem to be a bit lost and short on physical talent and football intelligence.

Now we need the d-line to step it up and the CBs to stabilize the backend while we support the middle unit in their assignments.

Yeah, I was disappointed when he backed off there at the five yard line in OT, especially after they had been doing so well running between the tackles. Maybe he had doubts about the backups, who knows, but it was a mistake IMO. I will give him credit though for committing to improving the power running game, it's sooo much better this year. And kudos to the RB nobody had faith in, he's killing it!

Naw, that TD pass to Pickens after the turnover was gutsy. Most people were thinking let's go Aubrey at that point.

So, basically, it has been all about Brian Schottenheimer in all four games, nothing to do with Dak Prescott.

Will Brian 'Doing it Right' Schottenheimer's offense help improve the offense's ability to offset the defense's ineffectiveness--that has contributed to a 1-2-1 start?

Well, let's see;
If Dak Prescott hadn't been shut out by the Eagles in the second half and by the Bears in the second half, maybe the Cowboys have two more wins.
And if Dak Prescott has to be at home to play four quarters, then that's a problem.
And, of course, none of this is new; he's been the same for eight previous years.
