Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer when asked about rookie RB Jaydon Blue potentially playing in the next three weeks: “Yeah, if he earns the right to do it, absolutely. He’s no different than the other guys. I see flashes from Jaydon all the time. I see that the talent is real.

The standard is not always met, just being quite honest and frank with you guys. I’m not saying anything I haven’t said to Jaydon. But if he keeps working and continues to do a great job in his preparation and all that, then of course he can earn the right to play.”

Schotty isn't wrong; it's the guys in here who thought a 5th-round stretch at the RB position would be capable of playing in his rookie year. Blue has had an excellent opportunity to make a name for himself on a team that will again have no RB1 on its roster going into 2026...the fact that he clearly hasn't jumped at this chance to do so is not good

It's hilarious did you notice the difference between Williams and Davis,

davis can't pass Block either ,and yeah he's in there it's more than that this is a Trayvo situation,


whatever jayden Blue is not doing right, it's not not knowing the playbook, or knowing where to go where to run, or how to pass block, he did a pretty good job of it from the little we did get to see of it as good as Davis, that's all I gotta say, davis was looking like a rag doll out there trying to pass block, so I don't want to hear it has to do with the don't get your quarterback killed, because if that was the case both our tackles would be sitting at home as well...

I mean isn't that ironic, Our tackles can't pass block, they're not doing their jobs to the best of their abilities, but they're not sitting at home they're not being in a dog house, look this is something else, It is literally probably late for meetings falling asleep in meetings, in practice maybe listening to music ,or not paying attention ,I mean there's all kinds of things you can get underneath the skin of your coaches, and he's done something to get into a doghouse...


Again, I don't want to keep pointing this out, but if you saw some of that blocking that Davis did ,he would not be on the field either, because ,I guarantee if you give Blue enough snaps, he can do what Davis has done, you just have to hit it right ,you have to be on the field at the right time, where a big hole opens, and you see it, and you get in it ,davis hasn't done anything special neither did Sanders,

Whatever it is I do know this you cannot go into another game after what you saw when Williams was in and out of the game last week Davis didn't pass Black very well wasn't very special he was just OK but then you saw Hunter get a concussion at one point davis was our loan back you need to bring an extra guy.

Whatever that might be we might get shocked I mean have they talked about Phil being ready or he just back at practice but not going to be active this week because he's who I'm more interested in seeing finish this season I wanted to see him more than two games or three games but hopefully last two games we get to see Phil big dog Mafah soon...

How about Israel somebody needs to come in because Hunter has a concussion issue that can come back real fast takes one weird hit or fall and Williams got a shoulder I mean come on people load up bring some of these kids in and let them do what they do Seasons pretty much over just let them eat...

Its almost like Blue expects the job to be handed to him because he's the running back with the most speed on the team. I respect Malik Davis each week because he seems like a pro's pro. Do what is ask of him and patiently wait when not called upon.

You are implying that he is putting in the proper amount of work and doing all the right things and moving TOWARDS earning something, when in reality he probably isn't meeting the requirements for earning playtime.

Maybe he fumbles regularly in practice.

Maybe if practices were hitting, the WB would be blown up

Maybe he’s not doing work in the weight room

There are a lot of reasons he might not be playing.

Just because he was a popular pet cat, even though he was a fifth round pick, doesn’t mean he can be a decent NFL player

I'm old enough to remember Romo getting whacked and was out for the season when a rookie RB missed a block.

I don't care how fast you are as a change of pace RB. If you haven't shown you can pass block consistently you shouldn't be playing .
