Schottenheimer on new coaching staff

Not even kidding, this guy sounds like the real McCoy. He got me excited just listening to him talk about how he assembled the staff. It's clear, the staff was all him . He will "fall on that sword" if it doesn't work. Meaning, finally the Joneses let an incoming HC do it his way. Last time that happened was Parcells. I think. This draft will have us in complete shock when it's over. Prior, I have a hunch free agency might get interesting . It's not going to be business as usual, I can tell.
 
For better or worse, the Joneses thought outside the box, kicked many tires, and hired someone they felt convicted of. I can see why now. Mike McCarthy never seemed interested in going outside his comfort level. No excitement. No wonder he couldn't find a gig this time around. You can see this dude was tutored by Pete Carroll. This hire is like PC Jr lol.

That's me normally. But I'm not going to deprive myself of being happy, at least for a while. We fans have been beating ourselves up and never allowing ourselves to enjoy wins. Maybe we can relax and be positive for once. Not since we hired the tuna, have I had this kind of positive vibe.

I'm not buying in, but it appears he was able to pick his own staff and that is HUGE.

And I can't lie, I like the hires.

Yup, it appears their is actually a true plan, one that wasn't concocted by Daddy and Junya. Now we wait.

I've been dealing with risen for years and years,I think I over on the old team message board. I can tell you , nothing has changed lol. He's still an enigma, but it makes it fun.

It's a really cool process...coaching is a fraternity....very little back stabbing, lot's of support for each other.
My first phone call in my office when I became a first time, young HC came from a Texas HC legend...he said, Boy, you ready? I said yessir. He said, I've been there? Grab some paper....this is my cell, this is my office, this is my secretary, this is my home....call me anytime you have a question. We went 2-2 against each other, in my 4 years there, we each won 2 championships....that was over 20 years ago and we're still good friends. Good times!
