Just take it for what he is saying, looking forward of what is possible.Politics may be Schotts true calling.
I hope it's not empty promises from a Cowboys HC yet again.
The speeches are as if scripted out of a best of all worlds movie yet to be shown.
I just hope this year's movie version ain't the same as all the rest have been for 3 decades now.
Cowboys!
Better stay away from that life or be like broOn a side note, I couldn't think of a sweeter place than South Beach to rehab a knee injury.
Go after that rehab Trevon!
They both avoid tackles.....thats one thing in commonBetter stay away from that life or be like bro
I want him to say, "Go talk to Jerry" lolThat is for the fans. I completely believe he doesn't care the Cowboys past 30 years. Why would he?
One likes stuff in bagsThey both avoid tackles.....thats one thing in common
He is a breath of fresh air. I love what he is doing. This is one of those ‘what’s he supposed to say?’ moments.
He isn’t intolerable at the podium like Garrett, and just because he wasn’t a great coordinator doesn’t mean he can’t lead a team well.
He is a typical Jerry hire, but his biggest obstacle is Jerry himself…..the constant undermining, meddling…but most of all…not giving him enough good players and leaving gaping holes in the run defense.
What no one seems to want to mention is that McCarthy apparently couldn’t get of there fast enough. Must have been a great place to work.
In the end the new HC appears to have the same ‘I’m just happy to have a HC job’ mentality as the last one. Let’s see how enthusiastic he is by year three.
Or year 2 even. This is one of those ‘what’s he supposed to say?’ moments.

I'm thinking he's relieved that Jerry's only expectation is that the team stay relevant and interesting. It keeps the stress levels a bit lower knowing your boss is fine with that bar being so low that an ant hill is higher.Who cares what the latest spineless puppet has to say, he’s there to collect his pay check, say the right things (according to Jerry and his pea-brained son) and get fired in a few years.
Brian Schottenheimer said:I don’t get caught up in (the Cowboys’ Super Bowl) drought. This is one year. This is the first year of mine. When the season’s over, we move on. We do. You move on, 2024 is over, now it’s 2025. Are we gonna win the Super Bowl this year? I hope. I think we are. If we don’t, you move on.
I’m not wired that way because I’m competing every day to try to win a Super Bowl. If I’m looking back and worrying about that, I’m not focused on what really matters, which is making sure we have an incredible practice today.
This is so wrong headed.Who cares what the latest spineless puppet has to say, he’s there to collect his pay check, say the right things (according to Jerry and his pea-brained son) and get fired in a few years.

Doesn't that description remind you of someone else?Politics may be Schotts true calling.

Any bloke as a walk-on (OK, UDFA) on his first day would be celebrated by Schotty as having a great attitude, a work ethic and a team player who helps his mates.Politics may be Schotts true calling.
