I just watched Tyler Guyton's presser. I feel real good about him. He has got his head on straight. That and his talent gives him a good shot
In the 2024 season, Tyler Guyton, a rookie offensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys, was called for 14 penalties, which were accepted. These penalties were tied for the second-most in the NFL that season. He was also called for a team-leading 18 penalties overall.Laremy Tunsil led the league with 19 penalties.
Why is that so shocking? It is exactly what we expected. We knew he needed work when he was drafted. He got playing time for some experience, got in the weight room to get stronger and now is getting better coaching.A story about a former 1st round pick at OTAs "looking much improved"
Shocking.
Average?Guyton. as long as he cleans up his mental errors can be an average tackle.
HUH?????? That picture is from last year. Look at his picture from this year. You know, after hitting the weights every day and working with good coaches. A backup??? LOL!!!![]()
I just don't see left tackle material.....tiny shoulders....fat gut. Questionable feet....Questionable mentally. The fact he got beat repeatedly last year on the inside move....and never adjusted....really makes me wonder if he will ever be more than just a backup.
It might not but it is good to have a player to challenge Guyton .Not going to happen.
There's an article on dallascowboys.com about him having reshaped his body.![]()

"I think some of the new things that come from Klayton and Conor Riley really fit him," Schottenheimer explained. "He hasn't played offensive line a whole lot. Then he played right tackle for Oklahoma. Then he played left tackle [for the Cowboys], and it's obviously a premier position, and he missed quite a lot of time in training camp.![]()

Why no way?He was a bigger project last year than many claim. No way it suddenly clicks for him this year. I still think they'll rearrange the line up due to Guyton being so bad.
It was hard to believe they left him out there for so long last year.
What they mean is if plays bad then he will break the season. If he plays good henis not at fault of breaking the season. You guys thinking the play of the left tackle will make or break the Cowboys. What all-pro left tackle did the Commanders have last season?
Or the nest RG at the same time!Exactly.
How many rings did having the best LT in football for a decade get us?
Awesome!!! If this guy can play OLT at even a mediocre level, we will have a top 10 OL.
Parcells...I hope he can take a significant leap, but when is the last time we've heard a coach say a player has looked bad at OTAs? Even last year he was severely overhyped between OTAs, camp, and preseason work only to end up one of the worst Tackles in the league come time for the real games.
