Brian Schottenheimer talked about the difficulty of waiving Jalen Brooks: "Jalen Brooks is one of those things we were going back and forth with a lot. On the offensive side of it, it was neck and neck, but over the last three weeks, there has been no one who’s played more special teams as dominantly as Ryan Flournoy."

Schotty on Duece Vaughn: “An incredible young man, damn good football player.” He said "Sometimes a change of scenery is a good thing, and if that’s what he decides, we support that." Schotty also talked about the special teams part of it and the value of it, saying, "When you’re a 3rd or 4th runner, if you don’t have other roles and doing those roles at a high level, unfortunately, you become a guy that’s on the bubble." #DallasCowboys

Special teams is why Fluornoy beat out Holden. We all saw that. I think the idea of cutting Tolbert and keeping Holden instead was crazy. People just forget that actual NFL production does count.

They aren’t confident of Micah or they wouldn’t have kept 6 DE’s. It’s also funny he said to expect surprises on cut day and then made zero controversial or surprising choices. The Mukuamu cut was the possible exception but I saw it coming considering he never moved up the depth chart.
