Schotty calls out Steele

..I dont feel its Steele's mental aspect, but physical.

Get the guy in weight-room build on low body tactics.

Getting pushed back, is sign of weak lower back and legs.

They're hard to find especially this late
Jerry is the master at stopping short of what's needed. Here he's managed to build up the defense into something decent, at considerable cost, and he's going to trot out this OL with 1-1/2 crap tackles (still hoping Guyton pulls it out). In for a penny, in for a pound, get someone in here even if it costs...

This is NOT good folks…on several levels.

A veteran tackle is a must, and if you’ve gotta start parting with higher picks, it’s probably a good idea.

I understand every position can’t be perfect, but the other side is a question as well. At best, the two tackles are the starters who rank 21 and 22. Not great for a passing team.

Please, please fix this. Im to where I’d be willing to part with serious draft capital.

Of course they could have cut Steele and saved 14 million against the cap, but Stephen saw a bargain because he had leverage. Things like this cost them routinely. You get what you pay for.

The guy stinks so you get him to take a pay cut. How about finding a suitable replacement instead of worrying about getting a bargain?
YEP! If there ever was a time to go "all in"....it HAS to be now...even for a couple picks later on.

It makes too much sense for Jerry to do it.

You beat me to it!

I know most of you think schotheimer will be the bomb, but I'm telling you, I'm just a little bit concerned. I'm beginning to think I've seen this movie before.

That said Steele can be a dog.
This movie is 30 years running.

Always seem to be missing a piece or three.

They just think they are good there given the investment. They’ve done this before and will do it again. I really, really hope to be wrong.

You could see this coming a mile away.

Steele hasn't been good for some time. They should have June 1 cut him.
I am sure restructuring his contract and taking a pay cut motivated him. This was predictable and possibly overlooked with bigger problems on defense.
