Tex Schramm - 28 Years:
  • Total Conference Championships Appearances (NFC): 11
  • NFC Championships (Post-Merger): 5 (1970, 1971, 1975, 1977, 1978).
  • Super Bowl Appearances: 5
  • Super Bowl Wins: 2
Jerry Jones - 37 years:
  • Total Conference Championships Appearances (NFC): 4
  • NFC Championships (Post-Merger): 3 (1992, 1993, 1995).
  • Super Bowl Appearances: 3
  • Super Bowl Wins: 3

Now do it with out Jimmy and his squad. Pretty sad
I don't think the two should be separated out. No doubt that Jimmy had the vision and ran the team, but look Jerry also made the decision to hire him as well. Any leader will tell you the most important thing is to hire great people around you.

Jerry did it once until his ego got in the way.

That would be the same thing as if I tried to compare myself to God. It cant be done

The hiring of Jimmy Johnson, The Great Train Robbery, three rings, and 30 years of futility. Jerry’s sole contributions to this football team, at least as far as this fan is concerned.

Just heard this on the ticket.

If you just use probability theory and do a a sequential calculation assuming each season is a random event

The probability of randomly making the conference championship game at least once in thirty years is 98.2%

The probability of not making it in thirty years is 1.8%

Jerry is so bad at running this team that he can’t even get in with dumb luck.

In all fairness to Jerry, and yes I know how hard that is to do, neither Tex Schramm nor Jimmy Johnson had to deal with free agency and the salary cap. Well technically Jimmy did in Miami and the results were pretty poor.

A couple corrections for Tex:
12 NFC Champ appearances counting Pre merger: 66,67,70,71,72,73,75,77,78,80,81,82

If you were only counting post merger Champ game app then it’s only 10 but must add 2 NFL Title appearances. So not sure where you were going with that. Or just miscounted.

And maybe one of the biggest marks was 20 consecutive winning seasons which included 18 playoff appearances. Which in 27 years including expansion years vs 37 years and 18 playoff appearances.

And remember it was harder to make the playoffs back then, you had to win your division. Now almost half the teams make the playoffs due to all the wild cards.
