We need to score first Sunday vs the dolphins. Why? It’s very simple.

• The Cowboys are 9-0 in games this year when they score first.
• The Cowboys are 1-4 in games they do not score first.
• The only time the Cowboys have won this year when not scoring first was in the Chargers game back in October; a game we won 20-17 on the road.

For this reason if the Cowboys win the toss Sunday, I hope they take the ball and drive down the field for some points. Or if Mia wins the toss I hope they defer to the second half. IMO this game is going to require a minimum of 30 points to win against a dolphins team that averages 36 points at home.

Apparently so. I just wish this team had more fight in them. Remember the '94 Cowboys? They got down 21-0 early. They fought back all game. Our current team would lose a game like that 45-10.

Yes we need to definitely score first try to get a three and out and then get another field goal as soon as we get up by like 10 points it forces other teams to throw the ball and plays completely to our strength many times at that point we get a turnover and the snowball starts rolling down the hill in our favor.

If we let a team take the ball run it down our throats grind out a long drive and put a touchdown on the board we are in a bad way our defense gets wore down then if we suffer a three and out and our defense gets thrown on the field again we are digging our hole and by halftime we're ready to get in it and get covered up.

You just start fast and then release the dogs.
