Scott Linehan doesn’t anticipate major adjustments to Cowboys offense

Let me get this straight, we have basically 4 number one picks on the o-line, a first ballot hall of fame TE, a top 5 WR, a 1000 yard RB, one of the top slot WR in the league, and a QB that was #2 in the MVP vote last season

And we still need more talent?

I have never heard of an offense that needs all-pros at every position to operate

Welcome to Garrett's offense

So basically still the old must beat your man on every play offensive system. Looks like we're still going to play the old must have elite people across the board or the offense will sputter unless Romo magic can save it every now and again. Then hope Romo can stay healthy.

For those advocating defense with our top #4 pick, please note the offensive system we are keeping. If we don't go for the future with a QB, we need to at least get more elite offensive skill position talent and still, at that, cross our fingers on Romo's health.

If we are going to do the same thing on offense why get a QB that won't play. Beef up the defense so teams can't score on us and win games that way

You are all about the "right now" aren't you? The future means nothing, eh?

Good luck trying that. There were more than several games last season where the offense could not even score a TD, not even the 1985 Bears is going to win those games.

Even games where Romo was playing (i.e. Miami) the defense can basically do their job (hold an opponent under 20 points) and it was a struggle.

Are you insane?

It's the exact same? I'm guessing you're using "system" loosely here. Watch the 2013 offense and then 2014 - one that abandoned the run often and relied on short passing routes, Romo's lowest average yards per pass, to 2014 run heavy offense. We then head to 2015 where we seemed to be implementing more screens and utilizing RBs as WRs.

The Garret and Callahan offense was nothing like Linehan's.

System is the same, based on Norv Turner predominantly. Play calling is different. But play calling in 2015 was even more conservative and predictable than when Callahan was OC.

Im about the team period. I have said many times IF QB is best available but I don't see any that fit that top 4 pick. ......nice try though

So how is a rookie QB going to help this team win games when none of them are day 1 starters
