The Cowboys 2nd round draft pick a mystery no more.......
It has come to my attention that the Cowboys have a strong interest in Ole’ Miss wideout/running back Dexter McCluster. It seems that after the senior bowl Cowboys scouts were enamored with his performance and of course Mccluster stated he would love to play for the Cowboys.

McCluster is projected a mid to late 2nd round pick and I am sure his stock will rise even more after the combine. I have watched a few games and highlight reels of Mccluster and I don’t see how he is that much better than Clemson wideout Jacoby Ford. I would actually prefer the cowboys select Ford in the 3rd round versus taking Mccluster in the 2nd. The only logic I can see in the cowboy selecting McCluster is if they are indeed getting rid of T.Choice or M.Barber. So readers which player would you prefer and why???

And why is it the only wideouts I would take in this entire draft are:
1. Carlton Mitchell
2. Jacoby Ford
3.David Gettis

The end………….

I like them both. My problem is that I have a hard time getting excited about a rookie WR. I'd rather see a safety/corner/OL/Alex Carrington in the second and I'm REALLY hoping for John Jerry in the third.

The WR I like is South Florida's Carlton Banks. He's 6-4, 210 and runs a sub-4.5 forty. USF's all-time leading receiver and a big-time long ball threat.

thanks, i know some other appreciate it, i look at it this way.
every draft site has some valuable info, some of it is wrong and some right;

awhile back i let hostile and dc know in advance that the cowboys had signed connor hughes from someone posting about it on scout.com

about a week and ahalf later, connor hughes signing was announced

so sometimes it happens,

so for me, we appreciate the information

What will be interesting with him is finding a roster spot for him and crossing our fingers that JG will even use him.

That's great IF he was going to be there with our 2dn pick but he wont so we would have to reach with our first which we wont so we would have to trade down which is possible but the draft would have to fall so ****ty that there is just not a player there Dallas likes which mean it's going to be a ****ty draft.

I want McCluster but I dont see the sceanrio in which he is avaliable where his value is.

The players they mentioned may be gone by the time we pick.

You can't trade up in the 2nd round?

Sure you can, if you want to pay that price. Dallas would need to jump pretty far to be in McClusters range. It would not be cheap. Again, the value is not there.

oh wait......let me add. because it was sooooo needed.

I'd take him in the 3rd as a PR/KR, I'd rather use the 2nd for more than just a specialist.
